Automatic weighing is used to measure the weight of
commodities. The advantage this automatic weighing is to
reduce the man power and increase the efficiency and
reduce the time consumption and hence avoid production
delay which may occur due to the even of man power.

 20 sales and service centers all over the country.
 Full-fledged R&D department recognized by government of India
capable of providing solution to any weighting and automation
problem.
 IPA has almost 36 years of experience in manufacturing and sales of
weighing and automation equipments.
 All products are indigenously developed without any foreign
collaboration.
 IPA has patent for some of its products
 IPA has wide range of products nearly 50 and provides
customized weighting system.
 IPA has brought proper department in the organization.
 Product planning and design is made according to
customer specification.
 The QC department is giving more importance to the
product quality and company tries to produce zero
defective products.
 Group of technocrats manage IPA, it has highly competent
professional in R&D, design, production, QC and other
areas of its operation, senior executives and scientist who
have worked in BEL, ISRO and NAL constitute the top
management.
 Affective after sales service.
WEAKNESS
 Sales process partially depends on agents who deal with
other company product.
 MIS is not fully effective and efficient, therefore there is a
constrain of free flow of information within the
organization.
 Its market share has not grown to a number of years of its
existence, it implies that its brand recognition in the
market is not up to the mark.
 As the company has not entered into any collaboration
with foreign entity, they are lagging behind with the
current technological demand in the field.
 Number of players in the field of weighting and
automation industry has been increasing, but there is no
substantial promotional activities taking place from the
part of the company.
OPPORTUNITY
• R&D department: Company can use the full-fledged
R&D department for improving the existence product
and developing new product.
 Collaboration: Company can collaborate with leading
companies so that new technologies can be adopted.
 Company can conduct market survey through with it can
known the potential market for its product.
 Company can capitalize on the retail loop.
 There is an great demand for automation of the work to
reduce the operating cost thereby increasing profits.
Threats
 Competitors are collaborating with excellent leaders in
weighting and automation to bring in the latest
technology in weighting equipment.
 Threat of huge attribution rate among employees due to
the influence of high pays in IT and ITES companies.
 Unplanned increase in work in process of the electronic
goods is yet another serious threat affecting the
reputation of the firm.
 The activities of the company are decided according to the function
and work that is assigned to the persons according to their
specialization and there is proper department in organization.
 The term of activity in the organization flows downwards from the
chief executive at the top to the first line supervisor at the bottoms.
 In IPA most of the components are indigenously manufactured and
only components such as ICS and certain strain gauges are imported.
 IPA’s products are distributed through agents network in various parts
of the country.
 The company’s sales turnover is depended on the performance of these
agents.
 R&D department is doing a great job in innovation.
 IPA follows simple structure in the organization were the flow of work
is of down ward slope.
 Training programs are conducted as an when required to fill the gap in
performance.
 Training of workers should be given due importance.
 Training programmers should be conducted on regular basis as it
motivates the employees to learn new ideas and perform better.
 Line manager should provide risk kind of climate to implement
new ideas and methods acquired during training.
 The various department should supplied with more specialized
work force so that they can effectively increase.
 Direct marketing may help the company to improve their sales
and by that earn better market share.
 The pricing policy and marketing strategies has to be reviewed.
 The company should seriously think of how best to improve the
quality of the products goods at a competitive price.
 By putting more efforts in cost reduction in order to customer or
agents enquire into orders.

weighting.

been referred as the “ House of electronic weighting and automation”.
