chronic pain and how you can

because everyone focuses on the

back, you focus on only that body
part.

5. But the real reason you feel pain is
because your pain system has
started to malfunction.

8. Expectation falls into this
wonderful category of what you
expect to happen actually
happens.

9. There was a study done by
Professor Nuffield in the UK and
she took a group of scientists and
performed a small scale study...

10. The group of people were asked to
take the palm of their hand and
then an electric shock was applied
to different parts of the palm.

11. She applied the probe against the
palm and then said “ this is a thin part
of your palm, so you can expect to feel
a strong pain".
She created an expectation.

12. She gave them good reasons why
they were about to feel more pain
than they expected.

13. And guess what happened next?
The individuals felt more pain.

14. This simple experiment shows how
strong and powerful it is to create an
expectation.

15. I get many clients coming to see me,
confused as to why they've got pain
in their body. They've seen countless
specialists who all recommend

16. That's why, it’s so beneficial to take a
step back and become the eagle in
the sky and take a look at the big
picture.

17. What predicts the long term outcome
of your pain is the expectation you
carry in your brain.
