2. The pace of technology development
is challenged with fundamental, global issues of
complexity, privacy, ethics, and security.
Existing software architectures compete with developing
systems, and often systems cannot communicate with
one another due to differences in coding (IBM, 2012).
Our work considers how data flow operates within
existing systems and how future innovations may aid the
flow of data that is both meaningful to clinical decision
makers and practical in application.
