1. Digital SLR Cameras
Throughout this assignment, I have used a
DSLR for all the images involved in my work. I
have changed the aperture and shutter speed
whilst taking my images to make them look
better.

2. Photoshop
In Photoshop I edited my images and
created my front cover for my magazine.
To edit the photos I adjusted the levels,
curves, brightness and contrast and the
hue/saturation to make the image look
more professional and improve the
overall quality of the magazine.
To make the front cover I used the text
tool, shape tool, line tool, select tool,
colour tool and gradient tool.

3. Quark
In Quark I have learnt how to use the
different tools in order to make a
professional looking magazine page. For
example I learnt how to use the text tool
and put it into 3 columns in order to make
it look realistic and appealing. I also learnt
how to use the image box tool to insert
my images into the document and
position them to look appropriate for the
page. I also learnt how to add effects to
shapes/pictures such as drop shadows
etc. I used Quark to create my contents
page and my double page spread.

4. Blogging
I learnt how to create new posts, add pictures and add
PowerPoint presentations to my posts by adding the
HTML. I used the blog to record all the work I have done
in this assignment.
