What is Hootsuite?

The system’s user interface takes
the form of a dashboard, and
supports social network integrations
for several accounts.

In thisTutorial we will learn
How to:

1. Create a Hootsuite account.

2. Connect social networks at
Hootsuite.

3. Set-upTabs and Streams
(to keep social network and feeds organized)

4. Compose and share a message
to all connected networks at one
time.

5. Run basic analytic report.

Now, let’s start our tutorial on
How to use Hootsuite.

Open your Web browser.

In this tutorial, let’s use
Google Chrome.

On search bar..

Type Hootsuite..

Click Enter

Click Login

Then you will be directed at
Hootsuite website

The Hootsuite Homepage.

First, we have to Create an account

You can sign-up using Email add..

You can also use your
Social media account to
sign-in at Hootsuite.

Sign-in withTwitter..

Sign-in with Facebook..

Sign-in with Google..

In this tutorial let us
Use Facebook account in order
to Sign-in at Hootsuite.

Click Sign-in with Facebook.

Enter Password.

Then click Log-in.

Click OK to allow Hootsuite to have
access with your profile.

Hootsuite has three different
plans to choose.

Business Plan
For small businesses and agencies that
need one platform for their teams to
manage social media.

Let us choose free plan for this
tutorial.

Now, that we are done
creating an account at
Hootsuite.

Second step is to add
Social Media Networks.

Since, I use my Facebook account
when signing-up. Facebook
account was automatically added.

Click theTwitter button.

Then, you will be asked by
Twitter to Authorize Hootsuite
to use your account.

Enter Password.

Click Authorize app.

Notice thatTwitter account was added.

Since I used the free account I am
allowed to connect three social
media networks.

This is the Dashboard..

Dashboard is the place where you
can listen and monitor social
networks..

Third step is to add Tabs to organize
social conversations and add Streams
by topics and campaigns..

Meanwhile, let’s dissect the
Hootsuite dashboard.

This is the message box where
you can write your post..

Fourth step is create
Tabs by clicking the “+”
sign.

Change the title.

This tab is for
Client 1.

Hover your mouse at dropdown button.

You will see the
social media
accounts
connected at
Hootsuite.

In thisTab let’s use ourTwitter account

Now, let’s add streams on
Twitter tab.

Click the
+ Add as stream.

Or you can
choose from this
options, just click
what you want
to add as stream.

Let’s click
“Home” button.

Now.. It’s time to be heard..
Fourth step, craft a message at message
box and post on 3 social media accounts at
the same time.

Do you think it’s impossible to post a
message at 3 social networks account
at the same time?

At Hootsuite it’s possible!

Hover your mouse at message box.

You create you message here..

You can add a link and Hootsuite will
shorten the link.

To attach a file you can click this.

You can drag photo or video you want to
post or click the “choose files to upload”

If you click choose files to upload a folder with a
saved file of images on your computer will show.

Click the selected picture then click “open”

an email once message is sent.

To add location on your post.

Once you finish crafting a message you
have to choose which social media
account you are going to post the
created message.

Click which account you are going to
post the message.

You can choose up to 3 accounts, and
Hootsuite will post the message on 3
accounts at the same time.

Then click send now if you want to post it now.

If you click the save button.

This options will show-up..

Last step is to Run Analytic Report.
Remember the navigation panel?
There you will find the analytic option.

Click “ Analytics ”

You will see thisTemplate reports.

For Free plan there are only 3
report templates available.

These are:
1.Twitter profile overview
2. Facebook page overview
3. Ow.ly click summary

These free reports templates will
provide you with basic information on
your accounts.

Such as:
1. page engagement
2. daily likes
3. most popular links
4. follower growth

Now, let’s generate
Twitter profile overview.

Click onTwitter profile overview

Click dropdown button and select the
report owner.

Click Create report.

This is a sample of twitter profile
report

Using these free reports along with the
analytics provided within each social networks
will give you a detailed picture of your social
media performance.

Now that you’re familiar with
Hootsuite dashboard. Keep practicing
