Build event page on Facebook or Google+
Do promotions, offer discount codes & give exclusive looks behind
the scenes with Snapchat
Attract attention to your social media sites with competitions & polls.
Competitions can be organised on any social media, while polls are
possible on Facebook & LinkedIn
4. In themed events, share inspiration via Pinterest!
Instagram is also a great tool for “teaser” pictures,
and pictures can be easily shared in Facebook &
Twitter.
If you want to share pictures, videos and texts alike, Tumblr is an
effective way to share information about your event and speakers

6. Mention your social media sites discretely in your invitation.
In addition to the actual event invitation, you can also make an event
site on Facebook or Google+
Depending on your event make your
event site either open or closed.

8. You’ve promoted your event and sent out invitations, but people are
not registering – what to do?
Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ all offer opportunities for
advertising!
If you are organizing an professional event, then LinkedIn is the way
to go. On LinkedIn you can choose to target persons with specific
titles or working in a specific location. There are many ways to filter!

10. On the actual event day, keep an eye on all of your social media
sites!
We recommend using Twitter as an active platform, since there you
can present the speakers, tweet key words from presentations and
share pictures e.g. via Instagram.
If activity is slow, start a contest in which attendees can only
participate through your social media sites
If possible, film short video clips for Youtube!

12. After the event, send a thank you message right the next day!
(you can attach a questionnaire to the message)
Make a picture collage of the event on Pinterest and share your
speakers presentations on Slideshare.
Make a video clip of your event, from the
material you’ve gathered.
Then share it on Youtube and on other social media sites!
