Motivation letter that works

Check what you have
 did I mention clearly the function I want to apply for?
 did I motivated clearly why I want to apply for that function?
 did I mention why I fit this job/ stage?
 am I as concrete as possible, with examples where relevant (from
my CV or other experiences)
 did I gave an impression of who I am?
 did I checked my motivation letter on errors?
 did I checked if my CV is still up to date and relevant for the
function?

Find Out Who to Address it To

 phrases like "To whom it may concern" and "Dear Sir or
Madam" sound stiff. If you don't know the name of the person
you're submitting to, make your salutation simple: "Hello, my
name is…“
 if they have already emailed you, reply back in the same style,
so if they have signed their email “Andrey", write Dear Andrey,
but if they have signed it "Ms Smith", write Dear Ms Smith.
 Fill the “To” field only after all is double checked

do before……
 Write a thank you letter to the employer and post it on the same day to highlight
your enthusiasm, mention something you forgot or provide any details that may
have been requested
 Analyse your performance
 Write down all the questions you were asked for future reference, noting which
questions you may need to practise answering
 Re-approach the employer when the timeframe for a decision has passed.
