2. Definition :
• Terrorism was not confined to a single acceptable
definition. Broadly speaking, it can be defined as a
violent action which is there by threatening the
common people.
• It is mainly political in aim.
• It will conclude to many psychological
repercussions beyond the victim.
• The most devastating part about terrorism is that it
is conducted by an organization with a chain of
command and conspirational cell structure.
Terrorism in India
Since independence India is affected by two
types of terrorisms, which are divided based on
their architecture.
3. 1)Sub-national terrorism(Naxalism/Maoism):
It is due to the organisations formed and acting
within the country involving the local people.
2) Non-state terrorism:
It is due to the organizations having their roots
outside the country.
In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.

5. Varanasi Bombings:
7 March 2006 A series of blasts occurred across the
Hindu holy city of Varanasi on 7 March 2006.
Fifteen people are reported to have been killed and
as many as 101 others were injured. No-one has
accepted responsibility for the attacks, but it is
speculated that the bombings were carried out in
retaliation of the arrest of a Lashkar-e-Taiba agent in
Varanasi earlier in February 2006.

6. HYDERABAD BOMBING:
The Hyderabad bombings refers to the incident in
which two bombs exploded almost simultaneously
on 25 August 2007 in Hyderabad, capital of the
Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.At least 42 people
were reported to have died in the two
bombings.According to initial repobanned Harkat-
ul-Jihad-al-Islamic militant outfit of Bangladesh is
suspected for the serial blasts.
7. Mumbai TerroristAttack:
Begin on 26 November 2008 and lasted until 29
November, killing at least 173 people including at least
22 foreigners and wounding at least 308. It was the
Biggest terrorist attack in the world ever. Mumbai the
dream city, The city who never sleep was attack by some
Pakistani terrorist form multiple sites. Attacks occurred in
Mumbai: at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, The Oberon
Trident, The Taj Mahal Palace, Leopold Cafe, Cama
Hospital, Jewish-owned Nariman House. Around 200
hostages are rescued. Ajmal Kasab the only attacker who
was captured alive, disclosed that the attackers were
members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistan-based militant
organization.
9. Indian ParliamentAttack:
On 13 December 2001 terrorist target the
parliament of India, Five terrorist entered
parliament premises in a car through the VIP gate
and killed 9 policemen and parliament
staffers.Mohammad Afzal who is convicted of
being part of conspiracy is now sentenced to
death by Indian court. He was to be hanged on 20
October but the sentence has been stayed.
