good governance. Benefits of participatory budgeting include, among others, improved
governance; empowerment of citizens; improved information sharing; deepening local democracy;
increased public ownership of development projects and reduced corruption; all of which led to
improved services delivery. If any state can implement it properly, this state will be the developed
welfare state after a certain time. So, every non-developed country should take some necessary
stapes to implement this important system in their local government to ensure democracy and
good governance.
