Tasks and Responsibilities:
Study and understand the project scope and specifications. Create ITP’s
(Inspection and Test Plan) and Method statement Review and get them
approved from the client before the project phase is in the start stage.
Receive the RFI (Request for Inspection) from the discipline staff and carry out the
inspection of the Equipment/Construction as per the ITP.
Conduct monitoring/surveillance and identify any discrepancies which violate
standards and generate the Non Conformance Report.
Coordinate with the discipline to ensure corrective and preventive action on the
above thereby ensuring the closure of the NCR’s raised.

2. Ensure that necessary levels of reliability in equipment and systems are reached
by the correct specification of requirements through to proper installation,
commissioning and test.
Report any major Quality issues to the Quality Engineer & Manager of the Project
Management Team.
Coordinate with the Project’s Safety, Environment and certification engineer and
ensure that all statutory requirements are met.
Coordinate site installation and commissioning work to ensure strict compliance
with specifications and standards.
Review of all certification and documentation to ensure validity and compliance
with specifications, drawings, manufacturing and inspection test plans.
Receive and review daily reports from inspectors, review the same and provide
technical guidance wherever required.
Liaise with the Engineering for the resolution of construction requests for
clarification, site queries and non-conformances.
Ensure that the documentation for certification is verified by all concerned.
Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on the quality status of all activities
with their schedule for completion.
Carry out any other duties as and when required.
Material receiving to be used/installed in the site as per Saudi Aramco Standard
& Inspection Levels (SAER-1972), NMR & Approved Submittal (e.g. rigid PVC
conduit NEMA TC2 and TC3 for fittings, TC6 & TC8 and TC9 for fittings, PVC coated
RGS conduit and accessories, power and control cable, grounding cable and
accessories, instruments and instrument cable, magnesium anode, lighting pole
and task lighting, cable tray & accessories as per NEMA VE1 etc.
Maintaining/updating a log book record for all RFI's raised.
Inspection/Installation of switch rack including the GRS PVC COATED conduit
installed as per NEMA RN1.
Visual inspection of equipment such as pump motors in classified and non-
classified area as per NFPA Art.500.
Installation Inspection of junction boxes / panels as per NEMA 250 and
classification area.
Installation of aluminum cable tray (ladder tray type) & accessories as per NEMA
VE2.
Working on as-built drawing as per site condition and review.
Cable laying of power, control and instrument cable with respect to
segregation according to cable rating as per SA standard and also
visualization of cable trench depth & width and inspection of duct bank.
Inspection of red tiles, warning tape and cable marker including the underground
cable surface marker.
Inspection/Installation of grounding cable by thermite welding and witness of
ground earth resistance and continuity test.
Insulation and continuity test of power, control and instrument cables as per
NETA-ATS/PIP.
Visual inspection and termination of power and control cables including

Inspection/Installation of task and street lighting including illumination test.
Installation of instruments e.g. control valve, flow transmitter, pressure transmitter
level transmitter temp transmitter all type of valve pressure gauge, temp gauge l
and compact orifice flow meter. Junction box installation instrument panel
installation instrument ladder cable tray and instrument branch cable tray
impulse line tubing installation and pneumatic leak test Airline pipe installation
and leak test all types calibration at calibration shop and site
Witness and testing pre-commissioning of Low Voltage switch rack (IR, CR,
Tripping test of MCCB and Contactor, IR and Winding Resistance of Transformer,
ratio and polarity, calibration of ammeter and voltmeter, etc.)
Preparing the energization package for the switch rack and motor run test at no
load and load test.
Witness functional test of LCS and four hour solo run test of motor including testing
of vibration, bearing temperature, rotation and RPM, monitoring of voltage and
current.
Installation and testing of cathodic protection (magnesium anode) including
testing.
Witness loop check of instruments and field calibration.
Responsible for closing of MCC punch list.
Responsible of making the Project Record Book as per SA Procedure.
Drawings Knowledge:
Instrument typical drawings, P&ID, layout of instrument location drawing Airline,
layout of instrument cable tray, layout of cable laying, layout of conduit, Hookup
drawing, Vendor drawing, Wiring termination detail, logic diagram, loop diagram and
piping plan etc.
