5. THE SECOND WAVE OF ENERGY
STRATEGY
 Development programs of large and medium-sized photovoltaic power
plants ( ONEE & MASEN)
 Opening of the medium voltage to allow the development of photovoltaic
solar power projects
 Opening of the low voltage to allow the development of large-scale use of
PV in residential and low voltage connected tertiary
 Establishment of an independent regulatory authority
 Implementation of support programs in industrial integration and R & D
dedicated to PV.

SECTORS
 Morocco has ambitious plans to develop renewable energy resources and improve
energy efficiency.
 Investment of 9 billion dollars in solar, and 3.5 billion dollars in wind energy.
 The National Energy Plan (NEP). The objective is to install 42% of electricity
production from renewable sources by 2020 including 2,000 MW from wind ,2000
MW from solar & 2000 MW from hydro.
