STRATEGY
Development programs of large and medium-sized photovoltaic power
plants ( ONEE & MASEN)

6. OPPORTUNITIES :RENEWABLE ENERGY
SECTORS
Morocco has ambitious plans to develop renewable energy resources and improve
energy efficiency.
Investment of 9 billion dollars in solar, and 3.5 billion dollars in wind energy.
The National Energy Plan (NEP). The objective is to install 42% of electricity
production from renewable sources by 2020 including 2,000 MW from wind ,2000
MW from solar & 2000 MW from hydro.

IRESEN is the first and major actor in applied R&D in Morocco through
the financing of renewable energies projects
