LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Campus Action, Union College - Schenectady,NY

 Connect with resources on and off campus to host a variety of events surrounding issues ofsocial justice
 Manage the rest of the executive board to ensure that the proper resources are prepared for each event
 Recent events have included a series on the Syrian refugee crisis, discussions surrounding incarceration in
the US, and uniting students against the recent ISIS attacks in Paris, Beirut, and Baghdad by holding a vigil
for the victims

 Managed an annual $2000 budget for advertising, dinners, buying film rights, and speakers’ fees for club-
sponsored events

 Designed speaker series and hosting facilitated discussions centered on national and global current events
to effectively educate and promoted dialogue among the campus community
 Events have included mobilizing a protest,educating and encouraging students on becoming savvy donors,
and inviting speakers such as Huwaida Arraf to initiate dialogue on campus about the Palestinian-Israeli
conflict

Islam does not exist in the US

its effects, such as increased violence, stress levels, and psychological issues should be viewed and

Designed and executed a statistical analysis of the Wicker Wellness Center (student health center) with two
other students (and consulted ProfessorRoger Hoerl) to identify trends in student usage with regards to
specific services

Planning Grant to implement those improvements
