PROFILE
I am an analytical individual who is building a career in the oil and gas industry. I have prior
experience in petroleum drilling with a broad view of petroleum and natural gas from its origin
to its recovery, marketing and utilization. I have developed a keen eye for detail over the years
and can work singly or as a team member, delivering optimal results in the shortest possible
time under pressure.
EDUCATION
2014 - 2015 University of Salford: Master of Gas Engineering and Management (Distinction).
Relevant modules: Business and project gas management; utilization of natural
gas; gas flow and network analysis; distribution, transmission systems and
design; fundamentals of natural gas and production systems and Experimental
and measurement methods. (6 modules).
MSc. project/dissertation topic: Engineering solutions to reduce gas flaring in
developing countries using the Niger Delta region of Nigeria as case study.
2002 – 2006 University of Benin: Bachelor of Science, Geology. (Second Class Lower).
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
2010 - 2014 Ciscon Nigeria Limited: Mudlogging Geologist, (Warri, Nigeria).
Responsible for monitoring the entire drilling process on offshore drilling rigs in
the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and reporting directly to the company
representative on board. Major duties include:
Monitoring the drilling process on graphical screens and reporting any
anomalies immediately while drilling is ongoing.
Writing daily mud logging reports and submitting to the Company Man.
Observing drill cuttings collected from the wellbore at intervals, using
information obtained to advice on the stability of the wellbore.
Observe drill cuttings for any crude oil shows, detecting same and
advising the Company Man.
Constantly servicing and maintaining mudlogging sensors for optimal
results.
2. SKILLS
Engineering software skills: Good use of Petrel and Pipesimsimulation software for
reservoir modelling, well performance modelling, pipeline networks and facilities
modelling amongst others, developed during my masters’ degree study in the UK.
Oil and gas project management skills: one of the modules undertaken at master’s
degree level gave me a keen awareness of oil and gas pricing, project negotiation skills,
project management skills, project planning and project risk management. We were
given a good gas project outlay to evaluate and implement in groups for 10 weeks which
helped to develop this skill.
Good communication skills: Developed by being involved in several presentations,
while working as a mudlogging Geologist and while studying at master’s degree level.
Professionally, I have attended several conferences both local and international and
interacted with sound industry professionals.
A keen eye for detail: as a Geologist working in the field, the smallest of details are very
important especially when studying rock samples obtained from oil wells.
Good computer skills including Microsoft office: developed from secondary school level
and well drilled at master’s degree level.
Teamwork, problem solving: developed from undergraduate level to master’s degree
level and practiced daily while working as a mudlogging Geologist with colleagues.

2007- 2010 Toxal Nigeria Limited: Operations manager.
Responsible for managing the daily truck dispatch process.
