Using scriptures to prophesy
We will use the power of the Word of God to
speak in our own lives and in the lives of
others.
The Power of the Word of God is active and
alive.
We can use any scripture to activate the
power of God for our benefit, and for the
benefit of others and the Church!
We are going to use some scriptures that
gives strength, comfort, peace and
encouragement.
We never can go wrong in our prophecy
when we use the word of God to speak
into our own lives or into the lives of
others.
God has a wonderful plan for us and He is
our more faithful encourager.
For Strength
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)
6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor
be afraid of them; for the LORD your God,
He is the One who goes with you. He will not
leave you nor forsake you.”
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed,
for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will
help you, I will uphold you with My righteous
right hand.’
For Strength
Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)
17 The LORD
your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
For Strength
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
13 No temptation has
overtaken you except
such as is common to man; but
God is faithful, who will not allow you to be
tempted beyond what you are able, but with
the temptation will also make the way of
escape, that you may be able to bear it.
For Strength
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though
our outward man is perishing, yet the inward
man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light
affliction, which is but for a moment, is working
for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of
glory, 18 while we do not look at the things
which are seen, but at the things which
are not seen. For the things which are
seen are temporary, but the things
which are not seen are eternal.
For Comfort
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NKJV)
8 And the LORD, He is the One who goes before
you. He will be with you, He will not leave you
nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
Psalm 9:9 (NKJV)
9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the
oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
For Comfort
Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For
You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they
comfort me.
Psalm 55:2 (NKJV)
2 Attend to me, and hear me; I am restless in
my complaint, and moan noisily,
For Comfort
Matthew 11:28-29 (NKJV)
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take
My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I
am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will
find rest for your souls.
For Peace
John 14:27 (NKJV)
27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16:33 (NKJV)
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me
you may have peace. In the world you will have
tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world.”
For Peace
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to
God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses
all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:14
Isaiah 9:6
For Peace
Romans 8:6 (NKJV)
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be
spiritually minded is life and peace.
Colossians 3:15 (NKJV)
15 And let the
peace of God rule in your hearts,
to which also you were called in one body;
and be thankful.
For Encouragement
John 6:47 (NKJV)
47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes
in Me has everlasting life.
Deuteronomy 7:9 (NKJV)
9 “Therefore know that the Lord your God,
He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant
and mercy for a thousand generations with those
who love Him and keep His commandments;
For Encouragement
Psalm 32:8 (NKJV)
8 I will
instruct you and teach you in the way
you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
1 John 5:14 (NKJV)
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in
Him, that if we ask anything according to His
will, He hears us.
For Encouragement
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in
righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for every
good work.
Use the reach deposit of the word of God that
is within you.
Biblical passages as the selected ones in this
unit will pop out from you, as the Holy Spirit
will remind you of what the lord has taught.
The Holy Scriptures will naturally come out of
your innermost being.
Let the river of Living Waters freely run out
from you.
Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV)
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow
from heaven, And do not return there, But water
the earth, And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower And bread to
the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth
from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please, And it
shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
10
There is irresistible supernatural power in God's word; it will not
return to Him empty.
God’s Word will accomplish His desires and purposes.
The Word of God has heaven-backed power!
When you speak the Word of God, you are tapping into limitless
power!
Jeremiah 23:28-29 (NKJV)
“The prophet who has a dream, let him tell
a dream; And he who has My word, let him
speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to
the wheat?” says the LORD. 29 “Is not My word
like a fire?” says the LORD, “And like a
hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
28
Think of the Word of God as a hammer. Picture it. You can see the hammer.
A hammer can drive home a nail = positive results.
A hammer can break down obstacles = overcoming negatives.
“SPEAK [God's Word] faithfully” and
(1) all kinds of positive things will begin to happen, and
2) all kinds of obstacles and opposition will begin to be broken.
Three times Jesus spoke to Satan: “It is WRITTEN!”, and Satan’s schemes were
defeated.
There is great power in the spoken word of God.
John 11:43-44 (NKJV)
Now when He had said these things, He cried with a
loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”44 And he who had
died came out bound hand and foot with grave
clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus
said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” In Genesis
“God said, ‘Let there be...’ ” and light; sun, moon, and
stars; animals, birds, and fish; and more came into
being from God's spoken word.
43
Speak out God’s Word to your "Lazarus": Something you thing is dead.
“Devil, come out, because you are overcome by the blood of the Lamb.”
“Cancer, leave my body, because by the wounds of Jesus this child of God was
healed.”
“Finances, come into line, because my God shall supply all my needs according
to His riches in glory.”
John 8:51 (NKJV)
Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps
My word he shall never see death.”
51
Talk about the mighty power in the word of God!
Keep His Word, and you will “never see death.”
Not just “know” His Word, but “KEEP” it.
That word says, “I will raise him up.”
That word says, “Whosoever lives and believes in
me will never die.”
That word says we shall reign with Him forever.
John 8:31-32 (NKJV)
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who
believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are
My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know
the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
His Word will set you FREE!
“Drugs/alcohol, I don’t need you, because the Son of
God has set me free!”
That addictive behavior — “You have no more
control over me, because Jesus has set me free.”
An uncontrollable habit? — “I am more than a
conqueror through Him that loved me.”
John 17:17 (NKJV)
Psalm 119:11 (NKJV)
17
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might
not sin against You.
11
The Word of God in our hearts is a powerful antidote to sin.
Temptation comes through the eyes? — “I made a covenant
with my eyes.”
Temptation to pride? — “God exalts the humble.”
Temptation to the flesh? — “God will with the temptation make
a way of escape.”
Temptation to dishonesty? — Psalm 51:6 Surely you desire truth
in the inner parts.
Acts 10:44, 46 (NKJV) The Holy
Spirit Falls on the Gentiles
While Peter was still speaking these words, the
Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.
44
46 For they heard them speak with tongues and
magnify God. Speak the Word of God to people to open
for them new dimensions in the Holy Spirit.
Tell people what God’s Word says about the mighty baptism
with the Holy Spirit.
Tell people what the Word of God says about divine healings,
prophecy, miracles...
Tell people from God’s Word to pray for and expect the
demonstration of the Holy Ghost and power.
Romans 10:8 (NKJV)
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in
your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of
faith which we preach):
8
That centurion in the bible understood this. He asked Jesus to
speak that word of faith, and his servant would be healed.
Peter understood this. He spoke out: “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals
you”
Paul understood the importance of the spoken Word of God:
“Timothy, preach the Word!”
The all-powerful Word of God — “the word of faith” — “is in YOUR
MOUTH” to be spoken.
SPEAK God’s Word, and expect the infinite power of that Word to
bring forth astounding results.
Use the scriptures in the slides to speak into your life,
the life of your friend
PROPHETIC ACTIVATION #2
Read the scripture or thought,
Let the Holy Spirit stir up in you an idea,
Once you have it, speak it out.
Let it come naturally, don’t try to adorn it.
Use it to speak into your own life or into the
life of your family members, friends,
coworkers, etc.
I’m encouraging you to first use the Word of
God to start declaring things into the lives of
those whom you are ministering to.
Remember this: every single redeemed
person has a ministry!
This is a common ministry, and it is the
Ministry of Reconciliation.
So speak with love and compassion.
The application…
example
Because God possesses everything, He is
supplying you with all you need. Get ready to
receive your blessing.
God is a natural giver; He will continue giving
me provision for me and my family; He is
interested in my prosperity.
Prophecy is not about fancy words, but about
speaking the truth of the Word of God.
Prophecy is about showing people who God
really is and helping them to know the
promises and desires of God for His people.
When we prophesy, we are called to speak in
the name of God, we are His ambassadors
and as such we have delegated authority.
The application…
example
Prophesying for a person that you have never
seen before, you don’t know if that person is
a believer or not; but you know that is Love.
God has an everlasting love for you, He is
rising up your faith in Him, so that you can
see and understand His plans for you, then
your hope is going to bring you into his
presence and start to receive the greatness of
His love, His love will never leave you.
Now is your turn.
Not just think of the phrase, but speak it
aloud.
Better still, repeat it many times, for as you
repeat it, the truth of His word will take effect
in your spirit and you will start to believe that
what the scripture is saying is truth for your
life.
You are on your way to a better future.
