RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3.0 Introduction
This chapter will discuss on research design, sampling design, instrument, data
collection procedures and analysis of data for this study.
3.1 Research Design
This study will use quantitative method research and get finding through survey. The
purpose of this study is to investigate the Relationship Between Leadership Styles and
Teacher Job Satisfaction in Ten School in Ten School Petaling Perdana. The
questionnaire and semi-structure interview are used to investigate the Relationship
Between Leadership Styles and Teacher Job Satisfaction in Ten School in Petaling
Perdana.
3.2 Sampling Design
3.2.1 Population
The population is an interesting group for research, a group where
researchers wish to generalize the results of the study. In organizational
research, interest populations are usually groups of people like workers
in an organization. Therefore, the population of this study was the
teacher in Ten School in Petaling Perdana.
3.2.2 Sample
Data will be collected directly from the teacher in ten school in Petaling
Perdana. Samples from the population of this study are 100
respondents.
Ten School in Petaling Perdana will involve in this study are:
1) SK SEKSYEN ENAM
2) SK BANDAR ANGGERIK
3) SK SHAH ALAM

6) SK SEKSYEN 17

3.3 Instrument
This study studies a set of questions from the questionnaire and interview.
3.3.1 Questionnaire
A set of questionnaire as shown in Table 3.1 will be given to teacher. It is
adapted from Leadership Style Questionnaire and Job Satisfaction Survey
(JSS) and minor adjustment were made. The aim of this questionnaire is to
identify the leadership style among the leader in the ten school in Petaling
Perdana and to evaluate the level of teachers’ job satisfaction at the ten school
in Petaling Perdana.
3.3.2 Interview
A semi-structure interview as shown in Table 3.2 will be conducted to determine
leadership style influence teachers’ job satisfaction in the ten school in Petaling
Perdana.

4. 3.4 Data Collection
The respondent of this study are teachers from Ten School in Petaling Perdana.
Before the teacher take the survey, there will be a short briefing and explanation
on the procedures. The briefing is on what they should answer and how they
must answer the questionnaire. The questionnaire is distributed and collected
after the respondents completed answering the questionnaire.
The data collection is as following:

3.5 Data Analysis
All data obtained from the questionnaire and semi-structure interview were
collected and analysed to provide answer to the question for the research. The
data from the questionnaires section B will be analysed by calculate the sum
from the question to identify the leadership style among the leader while the
data from the questionnaires section C are analysed and interpreted through
descriptive by using Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) version 22.
