for a free account!

Click Get LastPass Free

Pop-up to add
extension is
displayed, click
Add extension

Patiently wait until LastPass is added
to Chrome

Once complete, a pop-up notification
is prompted

And you are automatically redirected
to this page

To register, enter your email

Agree to LastPass Terms and
Privacy Policy

Enter your vault’s master password

Make sure to follow their minimum
requirements

Remember that it’s going to be your
Vault’s Master Password

That will store all of your passwords
and sensitive personal information

If you meet all requirements, the
following items are checked

Just re-enter your password to confirm

If adding a reminder would be helpful,
then enter here

Lastly, click Unlock my Vault

You are redirected to this page

Quickly read the note and click next

And Click Open My Vault

the important features
of LastPass!

1. Adding Sites

While in Sites page, hover over
Add Site control

Other options you can do
pops out

Let’s create a folder first, click
Add New folder

Then enter the Folder Name

And click Save

Folder is successfully added

To add a site, hover over the + control

Then click Add Site

You have to populate all the
important fields

For the URL, navigate to the website
and copy it

For example, I have navigated to
Evernote sign in page

Simply copy the URL

Then paste it on URL field

Enter the Name

Select Folder

Enter your Username

Enter your Password

Add Notes if preferred

Clicking Add Site to Favorites adds the
site to favorite folder

Once all fields are populated,
click Save

Evernote site is added successfully

And it is included both in Favorites
and Personal folders

Hover your mouse over the
added site

Different options are displayed

a. To update the site details,
click Edit button

Edit Site page is shown where you can
make your changes

b. To share info of sites you added,
click Share button

In Share Site
page, just
enter recipient
e-add and click
Share

c. To remove a site you added, click
Delete button

To confirm deletion of site, click Yes

d. To go to the site and login,
click Launch button

A new tab opens and loads the site

In the sign in
page, instead
of manually
typing your
credentials

Just click the
icon beside
email address
or username
field

A list of log in
credentials is
shown, select
the appropriate
credential

Username field
is populated
automatically,
click Continue

Password field
is populated
automatically,
click Sign in

You’re able to enter Evernote without
even typing your password

What happened is LastPass recalled
your password

Based on the info you entered when
adding a site

Thus, you don’t need to memorize all
your passwords

of all the accounts you have in
different sites

Let’s try another
method of adding
a site in LastPass

Open a new tab

And access the website you
like to add

For example, the Facebook website

Log in normally by entering your
email and password

Then click Log In

After successful log in, a pop-up
message appears

Asking if the account should be
added to LastPass, click Add

Then a success message appears

Go back to LastPass website

A new site should be added in your
LastPass account

Facebook site is successfully added

So whenever you log in to Facebook

Just select a credential from the list

Then the email and password info are
automatically populated

2. Creating Secure
Notes

In the dashboard, click Secure Notes

Hover over Add Secure Note control

Then click Add Secure Note

Add Note page is shown

First, select a Note Type

Then populate all important fields

Once finished, click Save

The passport note is successfully added

What can you do with Secure Notes?

Here’s a sample scenario

For example, you need your passport
information while booking a flight

Unfortunately, you don’t have the
physical passport document with you

But don’t worry!

All you have to do is access your
LastPass account

and get your passport details there

It’s like having all your important
documents with you always

while keeping it safe at the
same time

3. Creating Form Fills

In the dashboard, click Form Fills

Add Form Fill page is shown

Populate all necessary fields in the
different tabs, first is Personal

And continuously populate all other
tabs as appropriate

Once done, click Save

The form fill is successfully added

Let’s try using the form fill by
registering a new Facebook account

Open a new tab and access the
homepage of Facebook

In the sign up
section, instead
of typing, click
the icon beside
First name

Then select
the fill form
that you want
to use

And in just
a click, most
of the fields
are populated
automatically

The information from the Form Fills
you created

is used to populate the sign up form
of Facebook

4. Taking the Security
Challenge

In the dashboard, click
Security Challenge

A new tab is opened

To proceed with the challenge, click
Show My Score

Patiently wait while the security
challenge is loading

You are asked to re-enter your
LastPass Master Password

Then click Continue

Wait again…

A summary of your score is shown

You can improve your score by
addressing the findings, click +

Follow the instructions and make your
passwords more secured

If you scroll down, Detailed Stats
is displayed

Which you can use to further
