People, organisations and communities are often constrained by their lack of knowledge and their ability to seek out new ideas. I am interested in how to help people to develop as effective independent learners. This could involve developing a people-centred information service or helping to foster peoples' capacity to use the information and knowledge around them. Topics I am interested in include information literacy,e-literacy, information needs analysis, user requirements analysis, participative design, information seeking and information behaviour, learning and pedagogy.
