- Lajos Kossuth Teacher Training Primary School of the University of Debrecen is a special primary school. Trainees from the university spend 3 months of their senior year here to do their teaching practice.
- It can be found in the city centre, at … It was built in 1963 and only small changes have been made since then.
- Indoors we try to make it look more friendly by decorating the walls .

- Our school provides education for children from 6 to 14. In lower primary classes (grades 1-4) pupils have two form teachers. Music and P.E. are sometimes taught by a different teacher. The first foreign language is introduced in the 2nd class.
- Upper primary students study Hungarian language and literature, History, Maths, Information Technology, one or two foreign languages (English, German and Russian), Science (Biology, Physics and Chemistry), Geography, Art, Design and Technology, Music, Physical Education
- Certain subjects in upper primary can be studied at a higher level, in an increased number of lessons. They are: Hungarian Lianguage and Literature, Mathematics, English or German as a first foreign language (parallel with a second foreign language), and Information Technology.
- There are several clubs and societies for students who are especially interested in a subject area and would like to learn more than the compulsory material. Membership in these subject interest groups is free. One student is allowed to register for maximum two clubs.
- Eighth graders learn how to dance the Waltz, the Tango, Slow fox, Cha-cha-cha, Rock-and-roll and Hungarian „Csárdás”.
- In the afternoon pupils can play basketball, volleyball, football, do athletics, gymnastics, therapeutic gymnastics or have folk dance lessons . We also provide instruction in swimming for 5th year students.
- The children love spending their break time in the playground.
- Some pupils prefer spending their afternoons in the library.
- Day trips, ski camps, summer camps make group cohesion stronger.
- We have partner schools in Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, …
- And we have been involved in Comenius School Partnership projects for nearly 10 years.
- It may not be the nicest school in town, but it is the best one and we love it.
