The Frequently Asked Questions about Meditation
(by Mas Sajady)
Hearing of the word “meditation”, what usually comes into your mind? Is it sitting
in a quiet place by yourself, with your legs crossed together, and your thumb and
forefinger stick together forming an ‘O’? If so, that’s great! You know the basic
positioning. And upon having a basic idea about meditation, you surely have
been curious of what more is being done when meditating. Just like anyone else
that is unfamiliar with meditation, or you being a beginner meditator, you may
have a lot of questions. Mas Sajady could give you answers to your sentiments
about meditation like: “What is meditation?”, “Why nothing happened the first
time I meditate?” or “How does meditation works?” These questions are just
some of the commonly asked questions about meditation. And if you still have a
lot in your mind right now, let the Mas Sajady Program Reviews give answers to
your questions.
What is meditation? Mas Sajady Answers.
Meditation is the process of putting yourself in the present moment without
trying to control or to fight your mind. Meditation allows you to settle down, and
make your mind become more focused, calm and peaceful.
It involves concentrating on an object, and over time, your thoughts about this
object will start to diminish. Your attachments to this object and how you used to
see it will become less.
Meditation, especially through the Mas Sajady way, aims to help you heal,
transform yourself, and make you healtier and happier in all aspects of your life –
spirituality, health, relationship and wealth.
How should I start meditating? Mas Sajady Answers.
There is really no preparation required when you want to meditate. It should
never be complicated. You just need to be committed to the practice each and
every time you will do it.
You could actually meditate all on your own, or you can join in group sessions. If
you’re a beginner in meditating, you can join in groups where there can be an
instructor to guide you to the proper ways or techniques you will need to know.
When should I meditate? Mas Sajady Answers.
Meditation is beneficial at any time. You could make meditation a part of your
daily routine; you just need to found out how and when it is best for you.
 Should I meditate in the morning or at night?
- It depends on you – if you are a morning person or a night
person. Morning is when you can focus better, when you are well
rested and your mind is refreshed and have fewer things going in
it. But on the other hand, meditating at night can help you have a
better sleep. And if you are a night person, it may also be the
time when you are more alert and can be strongly committed on
practicing meditation.
 Why do I fall asleep when I meditate?
- If you are sleep deprived, physically exhausted, or have eaten a
lot, it won’t be advisable to be the best time to meditate. Give
yourself some rest first. This is also one reason why you it is more
advised to meditate in the morning. Some light exercise or a
shower can help you be more awake during the practice.
Where should I meditate? Mas Sajady Answers.
You can actually meditate anywhere. Yes, anywhere you want to. It only needs to
be a quiet place so you can be less distracted, your mind can easily concentrate
and focus. You can do it in the same place you practiced it for the first time. Just
remember, the place you will meditate should be a good place to help your mind
focusing and concentrating. It is because your brain also connects with the place
to help you focus easily. It doesn’t matter if you do it in a same place, but from
time to time, you can also try it in different places. You can find different places
like you are finding your inner peace.
How long should I meditate? Mas Sajady Answers.
Since there are many people willing to meditate but don’t have a lot of time, they
often ask this question. If you often wonder how long you should meditate, it
really depends on you. It also depends on how big are the results you are aiming
for. To be more specific, we can meditate with different amount of time and
could still claim the benefits of meditation.
But for starters, you could start for five to 10 minutes and gradually upgrade it to
a longer time. You could always start easy. The average time for a beginner is 23
minutes a day. You should also observe yourself when you are meditating and if
you haven’t reached the peak level of your tolerance, you could still continue.
However, if you don’t feel comfortable anymore in your position, you could back
off and meditate the next day.
Now, if you are curious about how often you should try meditating, you have to
call it yours. When you meditate, you try to instill in your mind that the benefits
of meditation could be accelerated if you do it regularly. You may have to allot a
time or schedule your meditation.
What are the correct postures and positions when meditating? Mas Sajady
Answers.
Are you sitting up straight and wondering if you are doing your meditation right?
You don’t have to worry because one of the most important features when you
are meditating is a good posture. Remember to keep your back straight and be
comfortable in your seat. It is also not necessary to always sit cross-legged since
there are many sitting positions you could take.
Some of the sitting positions you could try are Burmese style, seiza position, half
lotus and full lotus. You can use a small pillow so you can make adjustments in
your buttocks and be more comfortable in your position. You could also stay
upright and sit with your pelvis against the back of a chair. And if you are a
beginner, you may have a little idea on lying down position. It is usually done
when sitting is not an option. The greatest issue you have to fight when you do
this position is the tendency to sleep.
Should I have my eyes closed or opened when meditating? Mas Sajady
Answers.
This is also one of the arguments meditators usually have. Since both can be
done, the benefits are usually what they compromise. Basically, this goes down
again to preference and what you think you would be mostly comfortable with.
Some starters who have been used to closing their eyes while meditating find it
distracting to open their eyes. While for others, they would like to meditate with
their eyes opened because mindful awareness could be achieved when you
witness that beauty of everyday life.
It may also be better if you try meditating with your eyes half open and half
closed wherein you could enjoy the physical plane and subconscious plane using
your mindfulness. Since the tendency of meditating with opened eyes gives you
awareness in your surroundings while the tendency of closed eyes is to fall asleep
and fall on the fantasies produced when you are asleep, it could be best to
conquer both worlds. Meditating with eyes opened and eyes closed is usually
called “lion’s meditation.”
Is it for me? Mas Sajady Answers.
If you are still not confident about how meditation could transform you, if you
are in doubt on how it will affect you, you can always try. After all, do you have
reasons why you would not meditate? You can always start up your game by
trying, by taking small steps. Mas Sajady Program Reviews gives you answer to
the question: Is meditation for me? The answer is yes. The truth is meditation is
for everybody. It is for everyone.
Everyone can read books. Everyone can play sports. But everyone does not do it
because they do not choose it. Meditation, the same as reading good books or
playing sports, is for everyone. The only thing that makes you wonder if
meditation is not for you is because you still have not completely choose this
path.
Meditation, as you dig in deeper to this action, you could sooner realize that
meditation is for you. You could drive on more possibilities as you meditate and
could make you answer that meditation is for me.
How does meditation works?
When you meditate, you are able to experience a state called thoughtless
awareness. When you enter this state, the stress producing activity of your mind
is neutralized but it does not reduce the mind’s effectiveness and alertness. When
we meditate, we are able to focus and do not overthink on the unclear future or
the irreversible past. Instead, meditation causes us to live by the present moment.
Mas Sajady Programs could also give you access to how meditation works. Using
mindfulness, your presence over thoughts that keeping you stressed all over
could be stopped. Or more so, you could also find more of what’s inside you,
what’s within you through meditation. Through the vast space that you occupy
when you meditate, you might think that there is nothing happening but you
could always find out more about yourself. That is how meditation works.
Mas Sajady: What are the benefits that I can get from meditation?
First of all, people do not intend to do something if they could not receive
anything from doing this. However, when you meditate, this kind of mindset
could sooner be irrelevant for you. Why? It is because meditation gives you a
sense of being selfless. It could help you forget the side of the self-centered you.
Another reason on why you should meditate is that it helps you gain better focus.
Since meditation enables you to think about thoughts and focus on them as they
drift away, it does improve our concentration whenever we are not meditating. It
also helps boost our creativity. Better and new ideas are formed when
meditation is part of your routine.
Research also had shown that compassion and empathy towards others can be
developed to those people who are meditating. Several studies have presented
that people who regularly meditate were emotionally and exceptionally
responsive to shown disturbing images. Aside from this, meditation also helps
preserve aging brain. A study from UCLA showed that as people age, long term
meditators have better-preserved brain than non-meditators. Those participants
had more volume of grey matter in their brain.
Meditation is also a great rival of depression and anxiety. The relationship
between mindfulness to reduce symptoms of anxiety, pain, and depression had
been shown through the study of John Hopkins. It showed that meditation’s
effect size for these conditions was 0.3 which was also similar to anti-depressants.
It may not be a treatment but it can help you manage these symptoms.
There are also many health benefits that a mindful meditation can bring you.
There were several studies that showed that meditation can help lower stress,
blood pressure, and the risk of heart disease. Improved strength of immune
system could also be achieved through meditation. As meditation requires deep
breathing, the flow of air in the body can also be improved.
As you let yourself rest while meditating, there could be many spiritual effects
that you will eventually experience. You may later on experience internal peace,
satisfaction, and fulfilment through meditation. A deeper understanding of what
more of the world can be experienced and what more of yourself you may find
out could happen when you start meditating.
These are just some of the benefits you could achieve through meditation. This
goes to show that you could literally win over life through mindful meditation.
However, Mas Sajady gives you advice that practice and inculcating meditation in
your life could possibly accelerate you in attaining the benefits of meditation.
Why nothing happened the first time I meditate?
If you have been meditating a long time ago and stopped because you have not
experienced the benefits of meditation, then maybe you are wondering why it
didn’t give you such benefits. Now, you may be back reading this because you
are curious, you still want to try again. Good.
To give you answer on why nothing happened the first time you meditated, it
may be brought by your perspective or what you were really aiming for at that
time. There’s no particular answer to that but only you could also give response
to why meditation did not brought you anything. To put it simply, meditation
may have done something for you but you were expecting more. This caused you
to think that there was no effect at all.
What Mas Sajady wants you to know the first time you are doing meditation is
that since you are the person meditating, you are also the only person who could
experience the effort you’ve exerted when you meditate. Many people have also
attempted meditating but gave up after there was no evident result of their
meditation. However, through little ways, they’ve finally realized that meditation
had slowly taken its toll on them.
If you still are in doubt about the ability of mindful meditation, you can always
rely on Mas Sajady. Mas Sajady has proposed and offered programs that could
help you accelerate the benefits of mindfulness. Some of his programs are Mas
Sajady Frequency Spa, Mas Sajady Frequency Clinic, Mas Sajady Group Healing,
Mas Sajady Global Healing, Mas Sajady Live Event Talks, Mas Sajady 21 Day
MediHealing, and Mas Sajady Exponential Intelligence Podcast.
Why you should take Mas Sajady Programs?
Mas Sajady’s programs are different in a sense that he does not make you win all
the benefits of meditation. You are the person who holds that key. Mas Sajady
only helps you accelerate and achieve these benefits. These programs help you in
different aspects of life may it be in your career, health, love life, or wealth.
Healing could also be achieved in Mas Sajady Programs. Since his programs focus
on the unanswered questions of your life, you may be able to find yourself
healing and development. He could help you achieve how you could have it all
using Mas Sajady programs.

The relationship between mindfulness to reduce symptoms of anxiety, pain, and depression had been shown through the study of John Hopkins. It showed that meditation’s effect size for these conditions was 0.3 which was also similar to anti-depressants. It may not be a treatment but it can help you manage these symptoms. There are also many health benefits that a mindful meditation can bring you. There were several studies that showed that meditation can help lower stress, blood pressure, and the risk of heart disease. Improved strength of immune system could also be achieved through meditation. As meditation requires deep breathing, the flow of air in the body can also be improved. As you let yourself rest while meditating, there could be many spiritual effects that you will eventually experience. You may later on experience internal peace, satisfaction, and fulfilment through meditation. A deeper understanding of what more of the world can be experienced and what more of yourself you may find out could happen when you start meditating.
