Renaissance Health Enterprise Solution (RHES) is a comprehensive
Healthcare Information Management System (HIMS) for managing
the automation needs of every segment of the healthcare
environment. Engineered on open-systems environment, RHES is

This module captures information of all patients visiting the
hospital and provides a record of all the registered patients
through a unique Patient Identification Number (PIN). It also
captures a patient's biometric information, making the patient
record more exhaustive. This module can hold demographic,
vital medical and financial details, which are of long-term
significance.
Appointment Scheduling Module facilitates effective
scheduling of appointments of patients with the doctors. This
module allows doctors and nurses to view available time slots
and allocate appointments accordingly. Appointments
requests can be received and scheduled / booked through
direct interaction with patient or through telephone calls.
ADT module is a part of patient management and takes care of
admission, discharge and the transfer process for a patient.
The ADT module tracks the movement, stay and care given to
the patient. The module takes care of associated activities
separately. Admission, Discharge and Transfer operate
independently, and interact with the relevant modules like
patient billing and Bed / Wardsmanagement.
The CPOE module allows orders for patient services to be
entered and electronically transmitted from the point where
the order originates to the point of patient services, thus
minimizing delays / medical errors, eliminating lost paper and
making information accessible to other providers. Order entry
includes Laboratory Orders, Radiology Orders, Pharmacy
Orders, Blood Bank Orders and MRD Orders for both
inpatients and outpatients.
A & E module is meant for accident and emergency cases. It
allows rapid registration with minimal required patient
information. Facility of recording acute care details and
notifications to police and concerned departments are also a
part of this module.

Bed Management module allows hospital authorities to view and
track the bed occupancy related operations. Bed Management
governs activities like Bed Enquiry, Bed Census and Bed
Maintenance. This module helps in determining the bed
categories as ICU, Isolation, PICU, SICU, etc. We can also attach
various equipments to the bed such as Trolley, Bassinet,
Monitoring Units, etc.
The Ward Management module provides the facility for Nursing
or Ward Staffs to manage the wards. This module manages
special units like ICU, OT activity and tracks the services given to
the patient in their respective wards during the in-patient episode.
This module deals with consumables request, issuing and
returns, patient tracking, transfer requests and discharge.
The Doctor's Workbench is a comprehensive patient care module
that tracks the episodes of care for all patients and maintains and
arranges the clinical information. Doctors record clinical
information, place orders for patients, prescribe drugs to the
patient and update EMR for all patient episodes using this
module.
OT module tracks all surgeries that take place in the hospital. It
helps in scheduling the theatres, surgery team, records the
surgery details and all checklists associated with the surgery. This
forms the basis for a Surgical Information System in RHES.

The Pharmacy module caters to drug information system,
dispensing and stock control functions of the pharmacy
department. As a centralized drug information system, this
module maintains complete drug formulary with information
on the generic name, the trade name, standard dosages,
contra-indications, interactions, physical and chemical
characteristics, etc. It supports various drug classifications &
indexes and interface with eBNF and other drug databases like
Martindale, Drug DB.
Patient Billing and Accounting module is for billing the patient
for all the services used by him in the hospital. The patient is
billed according to the business rules of the hospital, which
are maintained and validated from this module. It works in
conjunction with Insurance, AR and GL module.
The Laboratory module is a sophisticated computer data
management system designed to handle a large amount of
data quickly and efficiently for all pathology laboratory
disciplines. RHES allows independent operation of all
laboratory sections while using a single database. This
concept gives each department, the flexibility to operate in a
manner that suits its needs, yet allows rapid recall of all data
and test results for a particular patient. Automated
laboratory equipments are linked to the computer, allowing
results for the bulk of the routine analysis work to be
transferred directly to the computer.
Keeping in mind the ever-growing demands & challenges
faced by the finance department, the Finance module is
designed as a comprehensive & integrated module enabling
finance managers to efficiently manage finances of an
organization. This module has basic tools of accounting &
modern analytical reports to give an edge to the department
in effectively managing and controlling finances. It provides
all the relevant functionalities, emphasizing on user
friendliness and ease of operation.
The Radiology module offers the facility to cater to all the
requirements of the Radiology Department. This module
helps in scheduling appointment for examinations,
examination processing, post examination results reporting
and film tracking. It enables receipt of radiology test
requests from Clinics, Wards, Emergency Rooms and
Operation Theatres. There is an option for easy entry of test
results or alternatively incorporate equipment interface to
automate this process and reduce human errors.
Nursing Workbench is a comprehensive module that provides
the facility for nurses to administer and maintain thorough
patient care. It works in conjunction with Doctor's Workbench
and other departmental functions of the HIS. This module forms
the core of the clinical and administrative systems of the HIS.
The module enables a view of patient details viz. medical notes,
laboratory and X-Ray results, orders from physicians pertaining
to diets, patient allergies, drugs, etc. All requests done to lab
and radiology departments are made available to the nursing
department.
EMR is the central repository for holding the entire medical
records of the patient. It stores data in an organized and
structured manner so that a clinician or any other clinical user
easily accesses clinical data based on his role, security rights
and need. The EMR generated by RHES captures almost all the
vital information needed by the doctor during the course of a
patient episode.

The Laboratory module is a sophisticated computer data management system designed to handle a large amount of data quickly and efficiently for all pathology laboratory disciplines. RHES allows independent operation of all laboratory sections while using a single database. This concept gives each department, the flexibility to operate in a manner that suits its needs, yet allows rapid recall of all data and test results for a particular patient. Automated laboratory equipments are linked to the computer, allowing results for the bulk of the routine analysis work to be transferred directly to the computer. The Radiology module offers the facility to cater to all the requirements of the Radiology Department. This module helps in scheduling appointment for examinations, examination processing, post examination results reporting and film tracking. It enables receipt of radiology test requests from Clinics, Wards, Emergency Rooms and Operation Theatres. There is an option for easy entry of test results or alternatively incorporate equipment interface to automate this process and reduce human errors. Nursing Workbench is a comprehensive module that provides the facility for nurses to administer and maintain thorough patient care. It works in conjunction with Doctor's Workbench and other departmental functions of the HIS. This module forms the core of the clinical and administrative systems of the HIS. The module enables a view of patient details viz. medical notes, laboratory and X-Ray results, orders from physicians pertaining to diets, patient allergies, drugs, etc. All requests done to lab and radiology departments are made available to the nursing department. EMR is the central repository for holding the entire medical records of the patient. It stores data in an organized and structured manner so that a clinician or any other clinical user easily accesses clinical data based on his role, security rights and need.
