Player profile: Matthew Lysiak is highly skilled and driven team player with very high work
ethics, international playing experience who is having European Union passport
(Poland). His understanding of the game and vision of the field makes him very
dangerous and unpredictable as he can easily make fast through passes, switch
the play or cut in and shoot on the net. He plays with both feet having
exceptional control and passing accuracy making him equally effective on left,
centre and right side of the field. His physical strength and athleticism allows
him to charge up and down the line with very quick tackling abilities while his
mental fortitude appears to be well beyond his tender age. At the age of 10 and
11 he travelled without parental supervision to Cruzairo Esporte Clube, Brazil
and Benfica Football Club, Portugal where he was experiencing footballer's
lifestyle, traveling, training, playing, eating and sleeping with the team.
Matthew's speed and fearless demeanor allowed him to train and play with and
against players 3-4 years older than himself. He is hard working, coachable
player with leadership skills who is at the same time completely unselfish what
makes him a perfect team player.
