headquarters in Atlanta.
The Challenge
The network studios operates 24/7 so
disruption to surrounding spaces had to be
minimal—requiring all work to be done after
normal business hours over the weekend.
Also, the air handler had to be built in place
with parts craned in through the 6th floor
window and then assembled.
The Solution
McKenney’s experience with building
­requirements as well as building new air
handlers and custom handlers provided the
knowledge necessary to coordinate and carry
out this difficult job. While working closely
with the network to fit its time constraints,
the McKenney’s team replaced the air
handler with a custom unit built to accom­
modate the size restrictions.
The Results
The existing AHU was completely dismantled
and a new unit was built in its place in one
weekend, allowing for greater temperature
control and a happy customer ready for
business Monday morning.
