Coverage
Summary:
Cumulatively 388,003 children received Penta and Td vaccine which was
92% of our overall target.
Between 6 weeks to <7 years total 205,311 children received Penta
vaccine which is 96% of our total target.
Among 7 years- <15 years total 182,692 children received Td vaccine
which was 89% of our overall target.
Ukhia have vaccinated 93% and Teknaf have vaccinated 91% against its
total target between 6week – 15 years of age.
A total of 191,965 female children and 196,038 male children received the
Penta and Td vaccine.
4. Social Mobilization progress
Community engagement
• Reached approximately 850,000 Rohingya refugees with Diphtheria vaccination messages
through various communication means and platforms including IPC sessions, H2H visit,
advocacy meetings, community consultations, miking, khutba sessions, Imam, majhi and
radio programs
• 119 Community consultations reached 2,263 community members including Majhi & Imam
• 38 Advocacy meetings reached 825 stakeholders in the Camp level including CICs
• Approximately 676 Imams and Muazzins, 322 Majhis engaged and involved
• Approximately 2350 pregnant and lactating mothers reached with Diphtheria messages
through 200 Mother to Mother Support Group
• 3500 adolescent boys and girls reached with Diphtheria messages through 140
Adolescents Radio Listeners’ Clubs (ARLCs) to promote vaccination (<15 years children)
Religious group mobilized • 400 Religious leaders including 120 female hafizas engaged and involved
• 88,038 community people reached through 13,787 mosque-based IPC sessions by 280
male religious leaders
• 23,866 (17,171 women, 6,695 girls and 221 PwD) reached through 4,405 Home-based
Talim sessions by 120 Hafezas (female religious leaders)
• Messages on Diphtheria vaccination disseminated through Khutba sessions in 280 mosque
Miking/Loudspeaker • 122 units CNG/tomtom-based miking while 3,567 times through megaphone in all 33
camps
• 13,139 times announcements through mosque-based loudspeaker messaging in 280
mosques
5. Social Mobilization progress
Mobilized teachers at learning
centres/maktabs
• Collaborated with Education partners of UNICEF to reach teachers,
and students at learning centres/ maktabs; 1457 sessions at
learning centres engaging teachers and students
• 50 film shows held in 50 learning centres by DIO

6. Areas which have been Improved
1. Education partners are engaging teachers at learning/schools to reach the target
children – below 15 years
2. Waiting time and space arrangement before and after vaccination has been improved
3. Improved data entry system: CHWs distributed vaccination cards one day earlier at the
house-to-house level. Beyond we found 03 persons working for the data entry/checking
who are coming to the center
4. Infection Prevention Control - Hand washing facility with water and soap, or sanitizer
available at the vaccination centre
5. Female vaccinators: Available at vaccination points to ensure vaccine for adolescent girls
between 10 years to 15 years, including separate booths for male and female.
6. Camp Coordination: Coordination among different actors improved under the
leadership of the Camp In charge
