3. Introduction
This idea of the project represents the “Meal Management System”. The system is being
used for day to day activities of expenses of a mess/hostel. The system can:
 Record shopping expenses
 Record meal quantities, deposits etc. of each person
 Calculate meal rate of a particular time period & charge to each person
 Generate reports at a particular time period

4. Motivation
The objectives of the project are :
 To make a system that reduce the time to maintain a mess.
 To keep track of members meal records.
 To calculate meal rate correctly.
 To keep members biodata in electronic media.
 To keep track of shopping expenses.

5. Proposed System
 Security of data
 Ensure data accuracy
 Minimize manual data entry
 Greater efficiency
 Better service
 User friendly and interactive

7. Limitation
 Need to install first on computer before using.
 Platform is not independent. So, it may not run on different operating systems like
MacOS, Ubuntu, Linux.
 Some minor bugs exist
 Limited features, need to explore.

8. Future Plan
 Notification system.
 Advance records filter options.
 Records export in different formats like csv.
 Improve the exported reports
