2. What is Noun:
 Actully Noun is name of person
place thing and any activity that’s
we call noun.
Example:
 Person: teacher , police officer, friend
 Place: home, office, town
 Animal: Dog, Tiger , bacteria
 Thing: Table , car , money

3. Type of noun:
There is 8 type of noun.
• Common noun
• Proper noun
• Countable noun
• Uncountable noun
• Concrete noun
• Abstract noun
• Compound noun
• Collective noun

4. Common noun:
 It is the name given to every person or
a thing of the same kind or class or
type. Common is means shered by all.
For example:
 The class is studying grammar
 He is a good boy

5. Countable noun:
 Countable noun are for things we can
count using number. They have a
singular and a plural form. The
singular form can use the determiner
“a”or”an”.
For example:
 She has three dogs
 I would like two books please

6. Proper Noun:
 It is the name of a particular person,
thing or place. It always writes in a
capital letter at the beginning of the
word.
For example: JOHN . INDIA , RAJESTHAN ETC
 Places: Landon, france
 Titles: MR , DR, MS
 Building: Tajmahal, India gate

7. Uncountable noun:
 Uncountable nouns are for the things
that we cannot count with numbers.
They may be the names for abstract
ideas or qualities or for physical objects
that are too small or too amorphous to
be counted.
For example:
 Tea, sugar, water, rice, etc

8. Concrete noun:
 A concrete noun represents something
that can be seen, touched ,tasted ,
heard , or smelt. In other words, a
concrete noun is something you can
perceive with at least one of your
senses.
For example:
 Jack , Jill, bed , wood salt, etc

9. Abstract noun:
 An abstract noun is a noun which
names quality or a state, which one can
not perceive through ones five physical
senses.
For example:
 Honesty is the best policy.
 Cleanliness is next to godliness

10. Compound noun:
For example:
 Son in low ,
 Credit card…
 “ice cream” is a compound noun
 A Compound nouns are words for
people, animals, places, things, or ideas,
made up of two or more words. Most
compound nouns are made with nouns
that have been modified
by adjective or other nouns.

11. Collective noun:
 A collective noun is the name of a
number of persons or things taken
together and considered as one unit.
For example:
 An army of soldiers
 A flock of birds
 A pack of thieves
