WR DEMARYIUS THOMAS, LOS ANGELES RAMS DL AARON
DONALD AND CINCINNATI BENGALS QB AJ MCCARRON ALIGN
TO ANNOUNCE OFFICIAL RELEASE OF THE LOCKED IN SPORTS
APP – LOCKED IN FOR PLAYERS & LOCKED IN FOR COACHES
LOCKED IN PROVIDES ATHLETES AND COACHES WITH A UNIQUE FIRST-OF-ITS-
KIND SOFTWARE PLATFORM TO SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCE PLAYER
DEVELOPMENT & PLAYER SUCCESS
San Francisco, CA – February 2nd
, 2016 – Super Bowl bound Denver Broncos Cornerback Aquib Talib and
Wide Receiver Demaryius Thomas, along with Los Angeles Rams Defensive Lineman Aaron Donald and
Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback AJ McCarron have aligned with Locked In Sports as they announce today
the official release of the Locked In sports app which includes two of their integrated player
development products for football – Locked In for Players and Locked In for Coaches.
Locked In Sports was created to provide athletes and coaches with a software platform to significantly
enhance player development across multiple sports. They do this by delivering customized workouts,
video instruction, player-versus-player competition and comprehensive analytics to change the way
players and coaches approach player development.
“If I had access to Locked In when I was growing up, it would have given me an advantage I didn’t have,”
said Demaryius Thomas, Super Bowl bound and Pro Bowl WR for the Denver Broncos. “I grew up in a
small town and didn’t start playing football until late so I never thought college ball was an option for
me, let alone the NFL. I wish Locked In had been around then to give me an edge earlier in my career.”
“We built Locked In with the idea to give players access to elite level training that’s customized to
them,” said Jay Kelly, co-founder of Locked In Sports. “All of our drills are performed by current or
former NFL athletes so players are getting the best instruction possible. If athletes want to reach their
peak potential, Locked In must be an essential part of that process.”
Locked In Sports product Locked In for Players focuses on two goals: Instruction and Incentives.
Instruction takes place when players’ access customized workouts through an iPhone or Android App.
Drills in each workout contain video demonstrations, written directions and interactive tools for players
to evaluate their performance. Workouts are tailored for each player based on age, skill level, position,
time commitment and progress.
Players are also incentivized to work harder to improve their game through competition. Locked In for
Players allows them to: access analytics that details their progress, connect with friends and teammates
to share progress and compete in challenges, earn achievements and badges by completing challenges
and track results of other players and teams through tournament and league scoreboards.
“There are plenty of fitness apps in the marketplace but there is virtually nothing that is sport-specific,”
said Jay Kelly. “Locked In delivers sport-specific training that’s tailored to each athlete. If you want to get
better as an athlete or you want to guide and track your players’ progress as a coach, you need Locked
In.”
Locked In for Coaches is designed for anyone who works with groups of players including school
coaches, AAU, club team coaches and player development trainers. The web-based platform integrates
with Locked In for Players allowing coaches to: track player development across the entire team,
customize workouts for each player, create team-specific challenges, add their own drills, replace videos
of existing drills with their own and record game results and statistics for their team.
This allows each coach a comprehensive view of their teams’ development and work ethic beyond
practice and games. It also gives them tools to challenge their players to work harder and to promote
team-building and competitive drive.
“We built Locked In with coaches in mind as they are an essential piece in each player’s development,”
said Melissa Vincent, co-founder of Locked In Sports. “Locked In gives coaches the ability to track player
progress and analytics as well as guiding workouts to make sure player development is consistent with
the principles of their program.”
