  1. Hi, I’m Alec Matias, CEO and co-founder of Pawzii. Today, I’m going to tell you how we’re actively saving the lives of stray pets today, generating revenue that’s growing month over month, and how we’re doing all this… *CLICK*
  2. By connecting pet owners, animal shelters, and pet product companies. *CLICK*
  3. To illustrate our story, let me introduce you to my miniature pinscher, Baragon. His name may sound funny because I named him *CLICK* after a Japanese movie monster he looks *CLICK*
  4. A lot alike. (pause for laughter [hopefully]) *CLICK* And I’d be devastated if anything happened to him which is why I have him licensed in the city of Bremerton, where I live, because I know *CLICK*
  5. Scary statistics that less than 20% of unlicensed pets that go missing ever return home. (pause) Conversely… *CLICK*
  6. …with a license, it’s virtually guaranteed a pet is back home within 48 hours. It’s no brainer to license your pet, right? *CLICK*
  7. Shockingly, only 12% of us pet owners license our pets. Why is that? *CLICK*
  8. Because the process right now across the country is *CLICK* You have to drive somewhere, wait in line, fill out a form, write a check, and wait for the tag in the mail. Who does that anymore?! *CLICK*
  9. And the place your missing pet ends up, your local animal shelter, it’s so overworked and underfunded that they’re forced to euthanize the majority of healthy and adoptable pets they take in every year. So we knew if we were going to fulfill our mission to fundamentally improve animal welfare, we were going to have bridge that gap. *CLICK*

That’s why for our first product, we built an online licensing platform that shelters can use to accept registrations online and takes just two minutes to complete for the pet owner. *click* For the shelters using Pawzii right now, our solution is six times more efficient *CLICK* And they can see revenue increases up to 202%. That’s HUGE!!! Best of all, unlike current solutions, we *CLICK* Do not charge a large upfront fee. We don’t’ *CLICK* Require any exclusivity contract. And we *CLICK* Don’t require any new hardware. *CLICK*
  11. Our revenue model is simple. We charge a flat $3 service fee to the pet owner at the time of registration. This model is great because it allows us to scale to shelters and governments of any size, from the smallest to the largest, *CLICK* and begin to quickly license the 179m dogs and cats in the United States. *CLICK*
  12. In April we launched in six cities and three counties in western washington and are currently managing licenses for thousands of pets. *CLICK*
  13. And I’m super excited to publically reveal here at Milestone 9 that Pawzii is now partnered *CLICK* with the city of Seattle, and both King and Pierce Counties. (pause for applause) *CLICK*
  14. Collectively, these three partners are handling over 200,000 licenses a year and that’s still just a fraction of the amount of pets that need to be licensed in our community. *CLICK*
  15. The same day we partnered with Seattle, we onboarded them onto Pawzii so they could use us the next day at the Seattle Pet Expo. In just hours, we helped them license over a dozen pets, earning them $100 an hour in new revenue; revenue they wouldn’t not have earned without Pawzii. Better yet, word of mouth spread so quickly at the show that *CLICK* Three different rescue groups asked to get connected to Pawzii so they can license pets they adopted out at their shelter. That was very cool. *CLICK*
  16. So that’s Pawzii story to date; already saving lives and helping shelters. Now let me give you a sneak peek into our future, because we have some very audacious goals for Pawzii. *CLICK* We envision a future where every pet is wearing and protected by a digital Pawzii collar tag. Pet owners manage the health and well-being of their pet through mobile applications. And shelters everywhere use the Pawzii platform to manage the intake of adoption of their pets. And when you put these all together, a very interesting opportunity arises: rich, valuable data. *CLICK*
  17. Data that is very valuable to the largest names in the pet product industry. Because you see, pets are no longer consider property, or a utility. They’re an equal member of our family, as they should be, and Americans have become frenzied in purchasing for their pets. *CLICK*
  18. In fact, pet owners spent $56 billion dollars on their pets. The largest and most combative area is food *CLICK*
  19. And today, pet products are undergoing a revolution worldwide. No longer do we only two options to buy to feed our dogs: large breed or small bred. There’s now… *CLICK* Medium breed food. *CLICK* Food specifically for your chihuahua *CLICK* Or your dachsund. *CLICK* Formulas specifically for diabetic dogs *CLICK* Or ones made by celebrity chefs. *CLICK*
  20. Then there’s my personal favorite, Purina’s Healthy Fiesta, which targets Hispanic pet owners with the small breed dogs they typically own. *click*
  21. There are now thousands of pet food brands spending close to $1b a year on marketing. *CLICK*
  22. That’s where our data comes into play with an analytics and marketing platform that delivers unprecedented insights into pet industry shoppers. *CLICK*
  23. Thanks to our robust dataset, we’re the first supplier of data that dives deep into the pet and pet owner, removing the haze around who these companies market to *CLICK* To reveal the exact target customer. Like for Purina’s healthy fiesta, we can tell them who are the hispanic pet owners with a small breed dog. We are the first to deliver this level of depth and we will always be the freshest thanks to our annual touchpoint with licensing. *CLICK*
