4. Augmented Reality
In short, augmented reality is the expansion of physical reality by
adding layers of computer generated information to the actual
environment.
In other words, AR has the capability to enhance every object
you see with additional and valuable information
(including text, video, graphics, sound, GPS data…)
Don’t mix it up with virtual reality, because VR replaces the real
world with a simulated one.
IN GENERAL
6. Augmented Reality
FromGimmicktoBusiness
Huge range of applications for
smartphones and for home and private
use.
In the industry for example BMW use
AR/VR equipment for car design and
training puposes.
Hyundai’s AR reality app helps idiot-proof
car maintenance
AR will shake up the retail
ARinotherindustries
LEGO for example uses AR in retail
shops in Germany with showing the
customer the finished product while
holding the packaging in front of a
camera/screen.
In San Francisco the search for
business or private real estate is made
easier by AR. Capturing the real estate
object in front of you shows if it is for
lease or for sale.
Gaming (Pokemon Go), the tourism
industry with city tours or the fashion
industry with applications are more
examples.
Technology
With Playstation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC
Vive as a breakthrough in 2016
Especially in Smartphone AR becomes
the killer app.
AR and VR equipment more and more
affordable

7. Augmented Reality
Predictions indicate, that in the future, utilization of wearable
glasses will spread in the logistics sector.
Many companies realize that wearable technologies, especially
glasses or vision technology, can empower workers to achieve
new levels of efficiency, productivity and accuracy.
However, choosing the right wearable solution can be a
challenge.
