- As Steve mention, over 60% of our water quality stations are degraded. Armed with information we can address the degradation with the implementation of targeted water quality improvement projects 20 Mile Creek – highest concentration of phosphorus to lake Ontario
- Everyone benefits from clean water and healthy, biologically diverse communities. With over 95% percent of our watershed in private ownership – working with private landowners are key in achieving our goals

- NPCA wetland restoration and reforestation project – focus on fragmentation
- Wetland restoration at NPCA CA – EC Brown. Acquired and rehabilitated in 2007. Currently Niagara College students are working on the second part of a long-term monitoring plan. They are developing an invasive species management plan for Phragmities (common reed), black locust, poisonous parsnip, giant hogweed and purple loostriffe.
- Ducks Unlimited partnership project – example of a larger wetland remediation project – the landowner was tired of fighting mother nature – this is the closest example of slough forest restoration.
