Involved in basic research regarding human embryonic stem cell culture and differentiation. I am currently investigating improvements into two-dimensional hESC cultures and the integration of laser-assisted passaging, ablation and automated colony maintenance. Research duties include running qRT-PCR and gel electrophoresis assays for pluripotency and differentiation markers, colony scoring and ablation with a novel stem cell laser system, multiplexed immunofluorescence assays, and colony maintenance and passage in feeder and feeder-free environments. I also aid the lab in statistical analysis and reporting of colony morphology and RNA data.
