6th Annual “An Evening with the Cardinals” at St. Louis Union Station in
the Grand Ballroom (Sat. Jan. 20, 5-10 pm) — “An Evening with the Cardinals” has
become a celebrated event in St. Louis, allowing fans to hear treasured stories from for-
mer Hall-of-Fame Cardinals while supporting children with cancer. In the past five years,
the event has raised over $1 million for families battling childhood cancer. Join featured
guests Whitey Herzog, Willie McGee and Keith Hernandez as they reminisce about the
1982 World Series and share stories about their time with the Cardinals. Dan McLaughlin,
voice of the Cardinals, will host the event and moderate a question-and-answer session
with these baseball legends. Silent & live auctions featuring one-of-a-kind memorabilia. A

St. Louis Mardi Gras: Family Winter Carnival at Soulard Market Park (Sat.
Jan. 20, 12-4 pm) — This free, family-friendly event will keep the kids busy with bounce

displays provided by local artists and organizations. The whole family can pick out festive crowns, masquerade

for a Cause supports this organization by donating the profits from one beer of their choice on the day of event.
Proceeds from this event will go to ERT disaster deployments. Currently, AmeriCorps STL have teams serving in

Eagle Watch and Trail Walk at Fort Belle Fontaine Park (Sat. Jan. 20, 10 am-2 pm) — Spend a day
observing the bald eagles along the Missouri River. A live eagle, several birds of prey, and a naturalist from the
World Bird Sanctuary will be on site from 11 am until 2 pm. A guided hike along the 3-mile trail begins at 11:30
