During the two years my father spent in the hospital battling heart disease, I witnessed firsthand the urgent need for refuge and community support for heart patients and their families. Although he lost his struggle in 2008, I co-founded Harboring Hearts to carry on his legacy of generosity and kindness and make a difference in the lives of others enduring the pain of this devastating illness. Harboring Hearts’ mission is to provide financial and emotional support for critically ill heart patients and their families that must travel for lifesaving medical treatment.
