Study: Photography and Motor Disabilities
1. Microsoft Research study about photography and motor impairment
Hello,
Microsoft Research is exploring how to make digital photography more accessible to
people with motor disabilities. As part of this effort, we are conducting interviews with
people with motor disabilities who take at least five photographs with their smartphone
in a typical week. Participation is confidential; all data from these interviews will be
anonymized.
Interviews will last one hour, and participants will receive a $50 Amazon gift card
as a gratuity.
In addition, up to $50 additional can be added to the gift card (if needed) to
reimburse for transportation expenses to get to our offices in Redmond.
If you meet the following eligibility criteria and would like to participate, please respond
to motorphoto@microsoft.com to indicate your interest by Monday, August 7th.
Eligibility Criteria:
• You reside in the Seattle metro area
• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have a motor condition that impacts your experience of taking photos
with a smartphone
• You take at least five photos with your smartphone in a typical week
• You are available for a one-hour interview in or near Redmond, WA during
the week of August 14 – 18 or August 21 – 25.
Thank you!
