Learning ways you can better communicate with people in your life whether they are your family members, employees, teachers or your students you can gain a great benefit from learning more about why each generation has certain traits and how you can benefit from understanding them. Ever hear someone say, "kids these days--they have no work ethic" or "Those old guys? They're so stuck in their ways." Frustrations like these can arise when we work with people from different generations. Yet, did you know that these characteristics exist for a rea- son? There are historical and cultural explanations for why our generations approach their work in very different ways. Find out what to do when you come to these generational crossroads. Proceeds from this event will go towards providing scholarships given by the Monroe Chamber of Com- merce at the upcoming Senior Awards Night honoring graduating seniors from Monroe Public Schools.
