I have been working as POS analyst in WIPRO in Retail domain – Delivery aligned to system
enhancement and maintenance. With more than 6+ years of experience, specializing in Point
of Sale software and hardware operations. Demonstrated proficiencies in configuring,
repairing, testing, installing and maintaining software / hardware for retail stores .I have
hands on experience on development, production support and maintenance projects. Well
versed in stores operations starting from opening a new store to helping them in performing
day to day POS operations, supporting their software and hardware equipment’s.

Sports, Jeanswear, Image wear, Sportswear and Contemporary Brands.
Project 1:- Point Of Sale support
Project Duration: 6 Years
Role: POS Analyst
Technology Used: POS Software (APTOS) , AJB Solutions, VeriFone ,CRM ,MPOS solutions
Aptos Sales audit system.
Operating System: - Windows based OS.

 The project is to help VF stores perform their end to end business by supporting their
software and hardware equipment’s.
 VF Corp is having several brands Nautica,TNF,VANS,Lee,Wrangler,Kipling to name a
few which consists of more than 800 + stores.
Key responsibilities involved:-
 Day to day store support including software updates ,handling hardware failures for keeping
the store up and running.
 Supporting store in performing their opening bank, end of day and other polling activities.
 Sending scripts to support different POS functionality ( tax, discount, updating release version
control , CRM functionality, receipt change ,database update ,adding discount deals and
other crucial day to day enhancement’s )
 Ensuring correct price/deals/events is maintained in stores both from AS400 server side as
well as POS devices.
 Perform hardware troubleshooting (Register, ISP , Scan guns, pole display, RF guns, printers ,
ELO touch screen , routers and other networking equipment ,HP printers etc. )
 Coordinating with different team for new stores openings and ensuring all hardware reaches
in store on time and coordinating the POS setup. .
 In My last 6 years of IT experience, I have been part of end to end store support starting from
store opening to ensuring that all the data is captured in AS400 systems and to make sure
that business is receiving correct reports to perform their projection and also to ensure that
inventory is always available in stores.
 Working with different POS vendor’s like AJB , VeriFone, Network Carriers , Sales Audit team
and many more to support stores smooth functionality .
 Handling a team size of more than 10 members and mentoring junior team members .
 Troubleshooting software issues in POS systems by analyzing Logs and errors.

Project Duration: 36 months

Query400, Clarity, Manage-Now(IBM Ticketing tool)

Island Pacific Application: - Island Pacific is a leading supplier of merchandising and store
operations and retail point of sale solutions for multi-store Specialty Retail chains. Helping
businesses to better serve their customers manage their suppliers and grow profitable businesses
 The project is to customize the Island Pacific tool, develop new projects, production
support and enhancement to all the AS400 brands in VF Corp .(AS400 servers) .
 VF Corp is having several application running for performing its end to end business .I
am currently working on ISLAND PACIFIC application under VF ( on retail business) .
Key responsibilities involved:-
 Working on medium and large size PPMS - change request or new modifications in
the existing system using IP coding standards.
 Frequent interactions with different application like shopper-track,POS,
Ecommerce ,MQ,I2 ,SAP.PKMS etc.
 Worked on set up of a new AS400 box (customized for one brand) for client.
 Supporting business in performing there day to day activity.
 Promotion of codes via turnover application for promoting newly developed codes.
 Defining best practices for project support and documentation adhering to SLA with
quality deliverable.
 Working out the new system's requirements and test strategies and assisting in
testing of the new enhancements, ensuring that it meets the customer’s
specifications.
 Working on ticketing systems like Remedy (from CSC),Manage now (from
IBM),Service now .
 Provide support for job failure’s -which runs 24*7 in the systems monitored by IBM
operations team.
 Doing Root cause analysis for the closed tickets and based on that propose new
continuous improvement to business.
 Got trained about Island Pacific product from the Vendor.
 Involved in end to end functions from placing an order to accounting its sales via
polling and sending reports to SAP.
 Interactions with various interfaces which takes input from Island Pacific like
POS,I2,PKMS,Shoppertrack,JDA,SAP .
 Using turnover to promote and pull back the codes.
