Film failure
Military Engineers Agree:

Data Source: Atlantic Division Naval Facilities Engineering Command
Industry Professionals Agree:
U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command:
“Windows protected with daylight application of film MUST use a
blast curtain.”
Steven M. Bryant (State Dept.)- AT Assistance Program: Preventing
Attacks on Soft Targets (PAST)
“FRF MUST be used with blast curtains.”
Karagozian & Case- To Film Or Not To Film: Effects Of Anti-Shatter
Film on Blunt Trauma Lethality
“….application of film thus may actually INCREASE lethality by
holding the glass sheet together…causing more severe blunt
trauma.”
Dr. H. Scott Norville- ASTM Blast Test Developer
“Based on years of comparative blast testing… I‟d have to say
that the phrase „security film‟ is an oxymoron.”

EMI/RFI shielding

An investment of a few thousand dollars in eavesdropping
equipment is all someone needs to steal your data!
Mitigation Technologies offers advanced electronic eavesdropping countermeasures with
its cutting edge EMI/RFI Shielding. Each EMI/RFI Shielding model provides a high level of
radio frequency attenuation. All four of the EMI/RFI Shields have been tested by an
independent NAVLAB A2LA accredited lab which meets NSA requirements.
Patent Pending
EMI/RFI shielding
Conductive window screens, wall coverings, and more!

Safe Room Solutions
This classroom converts
in seconds to a safe
room. Note ballistic
panels that drop down
upon notification of an
Active Shooter situation.
Installing these panels
saved the customer over
80% compared to
ballistic glass.
Ballistic Clipboards
Approximately 20% of
the human body is
susceptible to mortality
from a single round
without a bullet-proof
vest.

This clipboard absorbed 12 rounds of 9mm during our
field testing.

Backpack inserts also
available.
Ballistic Clipboards
Coated with PAXCON to stop spall
and to last a lifetime!

  2. Safetydrape; a proven anti-terrorism technology.
  3. With over 20 years experience with blast on glass, under multiple threats, Mitigation Technologies is the trusted source for gibberish…multiple governments, global,
  4. In a blast loading event, blast breakage is widespread. You don’t need to be the target to become the victim. This slide shows Oklahoma city after the bomb that decimated the Murrah building; Red indicates how far from the target windows broke.
  5. This slide simulates a 200 pound car bomb detonated in downtown DC, another example of how far glass will break from the actual event. Note that Safetydrape has been successfully tested up to and beyond the pressure loads indicated on the legend.
  6. Using AT assessor software, the engineers proved that 100 pounds of TNT 20 feet from the front of the unprotected building would result in all of the glass becoming lethal, with Safetydrape, all occupants would be safe!
  7. This test conducted at Quantico Marine base using C4 produced well over 55 PSI (pound per square inch), note that the red glass is unprotected and the Blue glass is protected by Safetydrape.
  8. These internal videos show how the Safetydrape system absorbs the energy from the blast and safely captures the deadly shards, while the red unprotected glass enters the room at a high velocity.
  9. Pre and post blast analysis shows that the Styrofoam dummy 3 feet from the window protected with Safetydrape is safe while…
  10. The unprotected dummy was decimated by the resulting shards.
  11. These tests were conducted with safetydrape installed into ¾” plywood showing that Safetydrape is the only glass hazard mitigation system that is NOT dependent on anchorage.

  13. While doing your competitive analysis, make sure that you only compare products that actually work, and avoid products that could become collateral ballistics!
  14. These pictures prove that even small blasts cause the film to fail and enter the room at a high velocity.
  15. This slide from the Naval Facilities Engineering command presentations on AT shows that the Navy also agrees that the window film will fail.
  16. After conducting their own tests,Karagozian & Case a leading blast engineering firm, concluded that the application of film may actually increase the lethality while Dr. Norville, the author of the ASTM we all test to, feels that the terms “security film” is an oxymoron.
  17. This failing film has devastating effects on the test dummy and needs no more explanation.
  18. With well over 2000 installations world wide, Safetydrape is trusted by the experts that are most at risk.

  20. Safety wire is a woven wire that is used as a composite to harden structures, up armor vehicles and more
  21. Used in conjunction with PAXCON, epoxies or inside concrete trust safety wire to increase your chance of survivor ability.
  22. These un reinforced walls, protected by PAXCON and Safetywire were subject to a blast from a Katyusha Rocket at ½ a meter.
  23. The Katyusha rocket was suspended from the boom simulating an incoming round, though the exterior of the hollow block was destroyed, the wall held up perfectly.

  25. Mitigation Technologies now offers a wide variety of shielding textiles
  26. With 5 standard fabrics and the ability to customize to your needs, from wall coverings to window screens, Mitigation Technologies can keep your secrets safe!
  27. Our screen frames overlap Mullions to assure no gaps exist that could result in leaks of your sensitive data.
  28. Our Active Shooter solutions range from stock products to customized safe rooms.
  29. Our series of active shooter doors bolt to your existing door frame. On a normal day, you use your existing door and your active shooter door stays ajar. When there is an active shooter notification, you simply slam shut the ballistic rated door over your existing door. These doors come in a variety of options and ballistic ratings.
  30. This slide shows how we created pocket doors of ballistic panels that secured windows and doors saving the customer thousands of dollars over ballistic glass and doors.
  31. These ballistic panels fold down over the observation windows. Mitigation Technologies specializes in creating environments to a specific threat level with value engineering always in mind.
  32. From civil unrest to sporting events, crowd control barriers from Mitigation Technologies are easy to deploy and hard to defeat.
  33. Our crowd control barriers can be custom manufactured to your specifications with limitless options and latch together to make a continuous impenetrable wall.
