filter to set the criteria for the offer you

Base your decision on CR, Visits and EPC.
At the beginning of your career, it’s better to
work with tier 2-3 GEOs with a:
• Big volume
• High CR
• Low CPM

If you are going to work with the Smartlink
you’ve gotta choose the best segment
(Country + Operator + OS + Device).
To see the best one, you need to see stats
per vertical, and understand which one
performs best. Then, filter per country,
deep dive in the stats and see the
operators for the country, selecting the
best ones. The same applies for the OS.

1. Generate a custom domain on your side
2. Insert the domain on Mobidea
3. Get the configuration codes (Name Servers)
4. Implement configurations on your side
5. Wait for Mobidea’s system to verify your
domain (don’t worry if it takes time)
6. Your custom domain will automatically
appear on the Settings page

The Settings
Tracking – Basic Definitions
Postback URL – this is a way for you to track conversions. It’s also known as Server 2 Server conversion tracking (S2S).
It’s used to communicate two different servers and inform the other server when the conversion is made
Click ID – it’s the user’s identification code. It contains info about the segment, browser, hour, day, etc. It essentially
contains data of where and when the user performed an action.
Token – it’s a dynamically generated variable provided by a paid traffic network (ExoClick, Traffic Junky, Ero-Advertising,
etc.) In offers’ URLs, tokens are used to track specific info in an ad campaign. Normally, you can add multiple tokens to
your tracking software in order to help you optimize your campaigns.

Tracking - Global Postback
• The Global Postback is used to set tracking
for all the offers and Smartlinks at once
• You can set a postback for each individual
Single Offer in the offer’s settings
• The postback setting of the Single Offer or
SL has priority over the global postback
• You can set a postback for any tracker

• Preconfigured (Voluum, Adsbridge, Thrive)
• Custom (any tracker)

placeholder.

Pre-configured Postback: AdsBridge and Thrive
The Settings
1. In a tracker, set your domain and set the tracking with the traffic source
2. Get the Postback link from the tracker
3. Go to Mobidea –> Settings –> Global Postback –> Choose Custom –> Insert your Postback link
4. Set the right tokens in the Postback link. Remember that Click ID is &tag={{EXTERNAL_ID}}
5. Change the tokens in the offer link. Click ID is &tag. For Website tracking, set the subID or the website id of your
tracker. For Placement tracking, set the sub_subID or the placement id of your tracker. Leave DATA1 and DATA2 the
way they are.
6. Insert the offer’s link on your tracker

{{DATA1}} – Value you send on your link and that’s displayed on the stats
{{DATA2}} - Value you send on your link and that’s displayed on the stats
{{EXTERNAL_ID}} – You need to use it if you send a different variable for each
user, such as the clickID. This value is not gonna be displayed on the stats.
{{DATA4}} – This value is not gonna be displayed on the stats
{{DATA5}} - This value is not gonna be displayed on the stats
{{MONEY}} – Revenue for transaction

Once your campaign has been active for 24+ hours, you’ve spent 3xpayout and have received at least 1 conversion
Direct linking: Visits = Clicks Earnings per 100 clicks
(Revenue/Clicks x 100)
Return on Investment
(Revenue-Costs)/Costs x100
The CR is too low (0.07%) and
we’re running direct linking,
which means there are no
landers to optimize.
This means that the issue is in
the segment itself.
Deep dive on the stats and
discover whether or not the
segment is profitable.
The ROI for Mexico is negative.
Checking operators, we notice TELCEL
with
• - 43.77% ROI
• All the conversions for Mexico
• Big potential
We should cut the other operators and
keep running only Telcel, looking for
more opportunities to optimize.
We’re not gonna optimize devices,
since the traffic is coming only from
Android.

Don’t change several parameters at the same time
Control your actions. You need to know:
1. Which changes affect your campaign
2. Why is it that you’re doing better today than
you were doing yesterday
If something goes wrong, you will always know
why it happened, so that you can always go back.
Ripping landers and creatives is normal.
What makes it harmful is constantly copying
exactly what other people are doing and
expecting to get amazing results.
Use spy tools to get some knowledge, but
don’t use the exact same creatives,
considering that hundreds of other people will
probably be doing the same.

Frequency capping allows you to limit how
often an ad is shown to the same user in a set
period of time.
Creating a new campaign with a set capping =
1/24 (format depends on a traffic source).
If you’re getting close to 100% ROI and you’re in
the first position among your competitors, just
increase your capping, as in 2/24.
Show your ads more often, and get more
money!

To see the best one, you need to see stats per vertical, and understand which one performs best.   • 14. Getting Started with Mobidea The Settings Tracking – Basic Definitions Postback URL – this is a way for you to track conversions. It’s also known as Server 2 Server conversion tracking (S2S). It’s used to communicate two different servers and inform the other server when the conversion is made Click ID – it’s the user’s identification code. It contains info about the segment, browser, hour, day, etc. It essentially contains data of where and when the user performed an action. Token – it’s a dynamically generated variable provided by a paid traffic network (ExoClick, Traffic Junky, Ero-Advertising, etc.) In offers’ URLs, tokens are used to track specific info in an ad campaign.
