 In this study the adjusting approach is implemented for intra-hour forecasts. This study
also serves as an out-of-sample test to verify the adjusting approach performance.
 The developed adjusting approach was built and its performance was evaluated with
dataset that has different spatial and temporal resolutions and different climatic
characteristics.
 Different solar power forecasts from the individual models (i.e., NAR, ARIMA, ANN, and
ELM) outperform the forecasts by the persistence model.
 From the performance evaluation, it was demonstrated that the adjusting approach
improves the combined forecasts significantly.
 These forecasts can be used as a tool of situational awareness in operation of power systems.

  • 21. Conclusions 21  In this study the adjusting approach is implemented for intra-hour forecasts. This study also serves as an out-of-sample test to verify the adjusting approach performance.  The developed adjusting approach was built and its performance was evaluated with dataset that has different spatial and temporal resolutions and different climatic characteristics.  Different solar power forecasts from the individual models (i.e., NAR, ARIMA, ANN, and ELM) outperform the forecasts by the persistence model.  From the performance evaluation, it was demonstrated that the adjusting approach improves the combined forecasts significantly.  These forecasts can be used as a tool of situational awareness in operation of power systems.
