out of the workforce, compared to 24.2%
of hearing people.
Entrepreneurship is one solution to
inaccessible workplaces. In fact, Deaf
people are more likely than hearing people
to be self employed (11.6% vs 9.8%) or
business owners (4.1% vs 3.8%).
