Internet Of Things
2. Introduction
• IoT is a technology that allows devices or things which can be
anything from humans to objects which communicates with
each other to make user friendly decisions without the
intervention of humans.
• Things can be any objects or even humans where sensors or
tracking devices embedded in it.
3. Example: Smart Agriculture
Maintaining a garden can be done from anywhere using a smart
phone.
The data about the garden is sent to the user from the sensor and
the user can be alerted about the lack of water, temperature etc.
Additional information like weather can also be synchronized to
give an accurate decision

4. Trends
There is a tremendous development of nano things.
The breakthrough in the development of nano circuits
paved the way for improvements in various
application.
For example nano sensors can be sticked to human
skin to detect the heart rate, temperature etc. and the
information is sent to the medical advisor without
being there.
Introduction of 4G and Li-Fi can play a major role in
the fast developing IoT.
5. Interest Areas
The Internet of things merely depends upon cloud
computing.
The data which are collected by the devices are send to
cloud for processing and storage.
The data in the cloud can be compromised or unauthorized
person can access the data. In IoT sensitive data can be
misused very easily. Hence it is necessary to over come
security flaws.
6. The security features of the cloud should be improved to
efficiently use the IoT.
Redesigning API
Encryption Techniques
Storage and management etc.
