2. Introduction
SMAC (Social,Mobile,Analytic and Cloud) is the concept
that four technologies are currently driving innovation in
business.
SMAC creates an ecosystem that allows a business to
improve its operations and get closer to the customer
with minimal overhead and maximum reach.
Social Media has provided business with new ways to
reach and interact with customers.
Mobile Technologies have changed the way people
communicate,shop and work.

Analytics allow business to understand how, when
and where people consume certain goods and
services.
Cloud Computing provides a new way to access
technology and the data a business needs to quickly
respond to changing markets and solve business
problems.
The Integration of the technologies requires clear
policies and guidelines as well as management tools
that can automate business processes.
4. Trends
Today, companies are increasingly capitalizing on digital
ecosystems and are leveraging Social Networks, Mobile Computing,
Analytics and Cloud Computing .This confluence of technology has
created an environment for production at a faster rate, together
with customer interaction.
With the consumer technology model penetrating and transforming
the corporation in significant ways, the creation of hyper-intelligent
software programs that are able to tackle a number of issues has
transformed business models across the world and SMAC stack is a
striking example.

It predicts thGlobal at 2000 firms will spend 15-16% of
their IT services and outsourcing budgets on SMAC .
In the coming five years, the firms surveyed expect to
spend around 10% of the total IT budgets on big data
and analytics, about 9.5% on cloud services (including
software as a service, and platform as a service), around
5.3% on mobile apps and devices, and 3.4% on social
media.
6. Interest Areas
My area of interest in this topic is about social because
peoples are the most valuable asset of any
organization, and social technologies help unlock the
knowledge contained in those individuals, and
facilitate the dissemination of that knowledge to drive
business results.
If I got selected in "Internship in SMAC" then I work
with social because I thing social technologies allow
for the rapid sharing and creation of knowledge over
social networks.
