2. Introduction
• Cloud computing changes the way of storing, accessing and retrieving the
data in almost all domains in day to day life.
• Cloud computing is a paradigm shift from traditional computing. The core
concept behind the cloud is virtualization.
• Initially cloud is limited to small and medium sized business and it doesn’t
have much impact on larger scale due to its various limitations like security
and privacy but nowadays cloud has marching towards critical applications.
• Though cloud has various outages in the past (Amazon, Microsoft azure,
Google, Salesforce.com, drop box etc.), still cloud is preferred by both
business people as well as customer due to its numerous advantages in both
sides.
• The revenues of the cloud shows the number of people using the cloud is
increased exponentially.
3. Social, Media and analytics..
•Nowadays predict the business, psycology, trends, emotions of the person
social media plays vital role.Nearly 1,230 million members(active Facebook
user according to source of 2013) and 30-40 percent people are mobile
users.
•The predictive analytics plays a vital role in almost all business scenarios like
health care,education,telecommunication, Insurance,Banking,IT,etc.
•In India alone 930 million mobile subscribers (as of September 2014).The
mobile computing is future. Most of the people using smart phones.
Coming to analytics it plays a vital role in collection of data from various
social media. The Big data analytic provide dynamic data as billion of post
are made in second in social Networking sites. Its difficult in case of Data
mining and Traditional computing to collect and analyze the data eventually
increase the cost and time. Thus cloud servers plays a vital role in it.
•Thus we need to integrate all social, media and cloud. Important thing to be
considered is without affecting the people privacy.
4. Trends
•Cloud computing is all set for the next generation computing and with
the aid of big data analytic and Internet of Things(IoT) in future will
become smart world!!
•Coming to the topic, Social, media, analytic and cloud. All are trending
in current IT business scenario.
•The IBM aim at the smarter planet solution by reducing the cost and
power and easy to deploy using the cloud for awesome results.
•The cognizant technology solutions aims the SMAC will be new business
trend in future like mainframe in late 90’s.It stated that the number of
data from the computers/mobile through internet is exceeding the
35,000 Exabyte's.
5. Trends…
•The cisco member parag parekh listed the “its time to move from
independent software vendors(ISV) to the SMAC” in his blog.
•And Microsoft also aims for SMAC.The Microsoft member stated by
means of implementing SMAC one no need to create the app from
scratch instead reuse services rather the application features, Building
the application features for the different platforms. And it provides the
user centric than organization centric and key point to be remembered
is “Delivering everything as a service for mobile first”.
•As I have mention earlier everything to be integrated without
compromising the security and privacy factor since we are going to
utilize the social Networking sites.
6. Interest Areas
•I have been fascinated about Networks which is why I intend to work in
cloud computing while concentrating on security and privacy issues.
•I have also been interested in Big data analytics. And we have done a
mini project in cloud and big data analytics using Hadoop map reduce.
•Presented the research papers in International conferences of
ACM,IEEE,Springer and Elsevier.
•Selected for the summer Internship in Unisys 2014 and currently Intern
in CSC (collaborative open innovation network (COIN)) to be completed
by may 2015.
•If I was selected for the Internship, I will like to work on projects related
to cloud computing and Big data analytic concentrating on algorithms,
security and privacy.
