IDENTITY
Being the only child to his mother and father at a very early
age, it was difficult at times. However Marcus and his parents
stayed linked together through music his entire life no matter
the mood. At age 7 is when he realized that music was his
passion and that he wanted to become something within the
company of music. At 17 is when he truly realized his potential
with music. A keen ear for production and sound is what led
Marcus to a couple of doors early in his music life. He decided
to polish his game and enroll in Full Sail University for a
Bachelor of Science in Music Business. To this day he’s the
CEO/owner of Uptown Money Records, and has been an indie
owner for 14 years. Marcus’s skills and experience will be the
strengths he carries forward as he continues his journey.

Create a blueprint on how I plan to run my own label and take many of
the skills I’ve learned and apply those principles to gain exposure and
the recognition of people in high places. I plan to achieve these feats by

Long term (15-20 years):
By then I would have hope to accomplish several artists projects thus
making them famous and continuing my legacy as an innovator and

  • 2. IDENTITY Being the only child to his mother and father at a very early age, it was difficult at times. However Marcus and his parents stayed linked together through music his entire life no matter the mood. At age 7 is when he realized that music was his passion and that he wanted to become something within the company of music. At 17 is when he truly realized his potential with music. A keen ear for production and sound is what led Marcus to a couple of doors early in his music life. He decided to polish his game and enroll in Full Sail University for a Bachelor of Science in Music Business. To this day he’s the CEO/owner of Uptown Money Records, and has been an indie owner for 14 years. Marcus’s skills and experience will be the strengths he carries forward as he continues his journey.
