Windows Movie Maker is a free digital video editing program included in some versions of Microsoft Windows. It was first introduced in 2000 and has continued to be improved in subsequent Windows releases. While simple to use, it allows users to create movies and slideshows by importing video clips and images, adding text, sound effects, transitions and more. Though it is basic and has some limitations, Movie Maker provides an easy way for users without editing experience to arrange and customize multimedia projects.
