2. • Amrutha Dairy Farms formally started operations in July 2010 in the Promoters owned land of 2 Acres 35
Guntas. Additional 5 Acres of Land is taken on lease to grow fodder.
• The Operations was started with just 3 Holstein Friesian cows and it went on to grow up to 35 Cows and 25
Calves as of today.
• The Project was conceptualized by NABARD Consulting (NABCONS) and was funded by State Bank of
Mysore.
• The Infrastructure developed so far in the project can accommodate 85 Cows.
• Good water source with 2 borewells giving good water discharge. Big Water Storage tanks of capacity 1.2
Lakhs lts of water, 16000 lts water and 8000 lts water is built next to the cattle sheds for storage purpose.
• 2 Acres of land has good high breed Napier grass which is irrigated by the slurry water from the sheds daily.
• The Project site has One Managers Quarter (Beautiful Wooden House), 3 Labour rooms and one cattle feed
storage room.
• The Farm houses the latest facility for fodder production (Hydroponics System) which is built in RCC
structure with a fodder growing capacity of 750kg to 1 Ton green fodder per day.
• The Current dairy setup can produce a max of 400lts of milk per day.
• The operations is looked after by the promoters directly on a 24x7 basis.
