COMPANY BACKGROUND
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specializing in
dementia, aged care, palliative care, and older persons' mental
health. Regarded nationally and internationally as one of
Australia’s most innovative health and aged care providers, this
organization is the major sponsor and organizer of the “Risky
Business: Facing Up To Dementia” conference.
BUSINESS CHALLENGES
“The Risky Business: Facing Up To Dementia” conference began in
2006 with a hundred attendees. For the HammondCare
organizers, it was a tedious task to manually process registrations
and payments for a hundred registrants. “There were no systems
in place,”says James Abbot, Enterprise Architect for
HammondCare. “There were several individuals involved in
registration and payment processing; it was too time consuming.”
Not only was the process laborious, but the risk of leaking
personal and financial data became a concern. HammondCare
started looking for a solution that would offer comprehensive
functionality and automate the day-to-day tasks and activities
involved in registration and payments processing. Some other
requirements were being able to accept payments in local
currencies and organize the data so it was accessible in real time,
while protecting registrant’s confidential information.
PUBLISH PROMOTE SELL MANAGE
2. MyloTEAM synced with Salesforce.com, allowing HammondCare
to easily manage their registrant data in a system already in use
by all of their staff HammondCare was able to collect payments
in Australian dollars and control the funds collected via PayPal’s
Payflow Pro
RESULTS
The difference was significant. Handling just under a 1000 attendees
with MyloTEAM was easier than managing 100 with the old system.
Because attendees were able to register and manage registrations
themselves, the amount of manual work necessary to execute their
events was reduced by half and freed up time to focus on more
important tasks.
With multiple attendee types, built-in promotions, and student
discounts, the conference team was able to drive earlier registration,
giving them more time to managing their attendees. The credit card
payment information was collected and processed in a real time with
a secure and PCI-compliant solution and using PayPal PayFlow Pro.
Payment receipts and registration confirmations were emailed
instantly through MyloTEAM’s email marketing engine. HammondCare
received immediate access to the collected funds.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
The “Risky Business: Facing Up To Dementia” conference 2012 was a
huge success. HammondCare has already set up the 2014 “Risky
Business 2” Dementia Conference using MyloTEAM and is currently
accepting registrations from attendees all over the world.
HammondCare is also going to use MyloTEAM’s leading edge feature
for Conferences - Lead Retrieval System for exhibitors. Having
everything set up and organized beforehand has been the biggest
relief for HammondCare.
With the successful adoption of MyloTEAM for Conferences,
HammondCare has extended its use of the ONE platform for Training
& Conference and has activated the Training module to organize and
manage the training of 9000 healthcare workers and volunteers with
over 20 different class locations across Australia.

As the conference gained popularity and the logistics of the event
matured, the requirements became more complex and, unless
HammondCare identified a new solution to manage this event, they
were concerned the attendee experience would suffer. This
conference requires multiple attendee types: speakers, students,
exhibitors, and attendees. There were multiple sessions: an awards
ceremony, workshops, and food breaks (navigating allergies and
special care) with mini activity sessions. Everything had to
coordinate with the overall conference and managing the details was
critical.
SOLUTION
HammondCare found MyloTEAM – Training & Events Registration,
Payment, and Management platform and was pleased with the
comprehensive list of features, like different ticket pricing options
and multiple attendee types. The platform was a perfect fit for their
urgent needs, but was also scalable to fit the organization’s future
needs. It was already equipped to handle multiple mini events within
the main conference, and MyloTEAM synced with Salesforce.com,
allowing HammondCare to easily manage their registrant data.
With their criteria met, HammondCare moved forward with
MyloTEAM as their registration solution. “It worked great”, said
James Abbot. “A variety of built in features perfectly mapped to our
needs. To help us with some very specific HammondCare
requirements, MyloTEAM Implementation and Support Team did
some additional customization” The solution was localized for the
Australian audience and custom reports were created that reflected
the needs of different users. In less than two weeks HammondCare’s
registration went live.
HammondCare reported the following benefits of using MyloTEAM:
Significantly reduced manual processes with easy online
attendee self-registration, available 24/7
Offered different ticket pricing options and multiple attendee
types
The platform was already equipped to handle multiple mini
events within the main conference and control pricing,
inventories and waiting lists for these sessions
