12. Priorities of the Mining Industry in Canada
An array of recent interviews and reports from Deloitte, Canadian Chamber of Commerce,
Ontario Jobs and Prosperity Council, and the Canadian Task Force on Competitiveness,
Productivity, and Economic Progress have cited the top priorities for the mining industry:
Improving Productivity and Recruiting and Retaining a Ensuring the Health and
Competitiveness Skilled Workforce Safety of Workers
Relative to OECD members, Significant concern about Health and safety is a priority
