In 2000, the not-for-profit NTC Foundation was
established by the City to San Diego to:
•implement the community plan for the 26 historic
buildings in the Civic, Arts and Cultural District

•raise the capital funds for the $85 million project
•manage the renovation of the buildings
•create and operate a new and exciting regional
destination for San Diego residents and visitors.
