General information about the
town
The city and commune in southern Poland, in the Silesian
Voivodeship. Czeladź located in Będzin district, in Zagłębie
Dąbrowskie, on the Brynica River, in the center
of the Upper Silesian Industrial District.
It is the oldest town in the Będzin district and the entire Dąbrowa
Basin, it received city rights in the 13th century.

Historical Monuments
Worth visiting in the
town
• It was founded in 1880 and occupies
an area of 1.6 hectares with about
a thousand tombstones.
In the necropolis there is a monument
to the victims of the Holocaust.
The cemetery is located at ul. Będzińska 64.

Worth visiting in the
town
• It was built in 1923 in the neoclassical style.
The palace is characterized by lightness and
architectural elegance. In 2006,
the surroundings of the Palace were enriched
with a fountain with a centrally placed
sculpture of "Boy with a Swan".
The museum has many exhibits
on the activities of coal mines in Czeladź,
as well as a rich collection of publications
on the history of Czeladź and the entire
Dąbrowa Basin.

• The shrine of Christ Salwator used to be the
third of the four symbolic borders of
Czeladź.
• It was situated on the southern slope of the
hill, at the fork of the roads running from
Grodziec, Przełajka and Wojkowice.

Worth visiting in the
town
• In the 20th century, it experienced a period of
splendor. The cinema is located in an old
firehouse, built in 1924-1929.
But the building soon began to play the role
of not only a fire station but also a theater hall
and a cinema. The building has been empty
since 2002.

objects
• The building of the power station impresses
with its excellent architecture and the original
machinery and equipment of the former
power plant, preserved inside in perfect
condition.
• The effect of the revitalization activities is
the restoration of the building's function, with
the possibility of obtaining a rich cultural
offer in the extraordinary scenery of the
former power station, e.g. exhibitions of
painting, graphics, sculpture, photography,
music events, dance workshops, small
theater forms, etc.

• The Palace of Saturn and the Roman Baths
located next to it is a luxurious complex
combining a modern hotel and ancient
baths.
• The baths were built on the model of the
ancient Baths of Pompeii.
Decorated with paintings and sculptures
stylized as ancient art, they transport
customers to ancient Rome.

• It's worth going there when you need some
relaxation. There is a renovated swimming pool
which is created for the needs of children and
adults.
Strolling among the green nature is made more
pleasant by the pond located in the center of the
park. You can either rent pedal boats or kayaks
and chill out on the water.

• This park is for sports lovers. There are special
paths tailored to the needs of runners, cyclists and
rollerbladers. There is
also a place for dog lovers, a special paddock
where carers spend a pleasant time with their pets.

Held every year in the amphitheater in Park Grabek on holiday days. They are hosted by the stars
of the Polish music scene. In addition to brilliant music artists, you can see your favorite cabaret or
artists of other arts such as djing or graffiti. With all this, a huge number of booths with food
and drinks come down, especially for this event. City days of Czeladź attracts crowds of people from all
over the province for great fun.
