My name is Nana Kojo Dua-
Awere Ocrah, better known by @
nkaydesignconsult, on Instagram,
twitter and also @nana kojo ocrah
dua-awere on Facebook, I am a
Graduate graphic designer from the
University of Education Winneba,
Ghana. I decided to be professional
graphic designer because I have
always been surrounded by creativity.
Art is a way of life it’s not static but
dynamic with time. This is factored
in its production that is when
art is brought to life. This is idea
conceptualization. The generation of
ideasthroughbrainstormingbringsto
life art (but in small /broken pieces).
Theseideasareorganizedbymeansof
conceptualization to give these pieces
a meaning. In every design I make I
go through the design process not
mechanically but to suit the type of
work or target I plan to achieve.
My work is a constant search for the
best way to interpret the ideas that
I have about myself and the world I
live in. I do not limit myself to one
medium,style,orconcept.Inspiration
and ideas change. I get my inspiration
from works done by other graphic
designers, movies, video games and
from the environment at large. Ideas
and inspiration comes from diverse
placesforme.Knowledgechangesand
I have developed over the years. I can
confidently say that I try to improve
upon every mistake I encountered
over the years.
Each piece I create is simultaneously
an extension from the past, where I’ve
come from and what I’ve learned, as
well as a preview of the future, where
I’mgoing.Manyofthetraditionaland
contemporary graphic design trends
can be seen in my work; my layouts,
typography design, illustrations, logo
design, and outdoor advertising just
to name a few.
I like the idea that methods doesn’t
necessarily need function, but I also
like the idea of Maryam Dafeiyan
that function has to work with form
and form has to work with function.
If a viewer stops for just a moment to
view and reflect on a design piece I
have created, then I have succeeded
in my work.

CONCEPT
This is a text and image logo. It is a
negative spaced logo with letter G on
a television. The G represents Ghana.
The screen has been represented with
an oval like shape with two antenna
like shape.

CONCEPT
This is also a text and image logo. The
logo consist of a text tube and a circle.
These were used to represent an
experiment which shows authenticity
of pharmaceutical company.

Lifestyle with Mayaase
CONCEPT
This is a signature logo. It consist of
three words lifestyle, with and Mayaase.
The lifestyle was written in a signature
font style. This was done so that the logo
could be used as a video intro. It was
made for a show on you tube under
Mayaase’s page.

CONCEPT
This logo was made with letter
J & M which stands for Justman.
The illustration of a writing page
represent printing. The line under
which has CMYK stands for full
colour printing services.

CONCEPT: The designer had the con-
cept of using graduation sash to great
a shape to hold the inscriptions in the
logo. I used two Adinkra symbols which
symbolizes knowledge and wisdom and
a torch in front of a book symbolizing
vision

The logo was made with circles

an in illustration of a track and a
location symbol on top of it. These
were used to project the main
service of the company which
is tracking of vehicles for their

CONCEPT
This logo was done in freestyle and it is an
initial logo. Irregular shapes was used to cre-
ate the logo.

CONCEPT
The logo was made with a line
drawing to depict a child and a
multiple point circular shape to
depict the sun. The child figure was
drawn to portray a happy mood and
the sun represents a bright future.
These combined tells the main aim
of the Foundation which is to give
children a brighter future.

Iris Unisex Parlour
CONCEPT
The logo was created with an iris
flower and the words ‘Iris Beauty
Parlour Unisex’. The iris floer was
infused in the design of the logo.
The iris flower was used to replace
the dot of the letter ‘I’.

clients. Inside Graphics is scheduled to begin operations on
September 16, 2018. Inside Graphics will be a partnership,
owned and operated by Francis Kometo and Silvester Nyako.

their audience with tv shows, interviews with celebrities and many other
tv shows Lifestyle with Mayaase is scheduled to begin operations on June
15, 2018. The company will be a partnership, owned and operated by Peter
Asante and Prince kofi Mulan

Masstrack technologies is a company in Ghana designed for easy use and
manage of vehicle tracking, fuel monitoring, diver safety and identification
outsourced vehicle maintenance and repairs the company provides quality
services to its customers, Masstrack technologies began operation in the year
2015. The company is owned by Mr. Akoto Boampong.
I was commissioned to design a website proto type for masstrack technologies.
It’s a responsive web design, and is in five sections; home, about us, FAQ,
services and contact us. I used adobe Photoshop, adobe illustrator and adobe
dream weaver to render the design
